1958buick
I recently placed a wanted ad on this forum and was contacted by a known scammer to the internet. Here is his reply: Hello LesThanks for the mail. I have the requested brand new left side dualexhaust manifold for your 1958 buick 364 Nailhead in a mint conditionand I am asking a 100GBP as I will be shipping via UPS on a 3 workingdays delivery and will accept payment via Western Union or Money Gram. What's your complete shipping address?Kind regards,Michael Wellington> 15 Liverpool Road, Islington, London, N1 0RW UK> michaelwllngtn@gmail.com> +447024087504A search of that name and phone number shows numerous complaints of scamming on other forums. Be careful of anyone requesting Western Union or a money gram without confirming the source!! I also sent another email to him requesting a photo of the part and the casting number. I can't wait to get the response. Good Luck, Les

Whats your phone #?Michael Wellington15 Liverpool Road, Islington, London, N1 0RW UKmichaelwllngtn@gmail.com+447024087504_______________________________________________________________I have gotten a number of these from the same guy. One one of them (I couldn't find the copy to post) he mentioned the same payment methods mentioned, and he seemed to be quite pushy. From the beginning, I didn't trust this guy. Durant Mike
You have to always be careful when the guy uses a gmail address which is like hotmail very hard to trace and very little info is needed on you also one that uses Western Union or any kind of money wire service. Once the money leaves your hands it's very untraceable and hard to get back. Anyone with the code name can pick up the money sent. Scammers are everywhere. Rick Hoover
Same for us last week too. First was from a Ralph Forester in London and then a few days later was Mike Wellington. Same exact messages about having the parts we needed and asking for our phone number. Wellington listed a different address in London but had the same phone number as the earlier one. I suppose all you can do is delete them.
Guest mikehowl
Hey guys,,, do watch out for him, i have owned a flat in london for many years and there is a lot of this going on there. where he lives is above a food market so i doubt he has any access to parts like that. in london it will cost you about $100.000 just for a 1 car garage if you can find one. i agree that you should check out the people as much as possible. have your money in escrow if they insist on western union or wire transfer. there should be companys out there that can do that.Mike
