michel88
Lamar, they are some cool tunes. I really liked the first one with the lines: Daddy had a Buick with holes on the side and Daddy had a Buick two lanes wide. Thanks for sharing. NTX5467
"My Buick, My Love, and I" Seems like it was sung at the 75th Anniversary in Flint, too. Thanks, Lamar, for once again bringing many great memories of Buicks to this forum with the many neat songs! A great way to spend inside while all of the outside world (49 states with snow!) is generally covered in snow.Enjoy these great songs to the limit of your tolerance! Or the tolerance level of those who also might be listening! Thanks, Lamar!NTX5467
MrEarl
That was a great evening in Flint in '03. That was my son Jordans and my first National, and what an event it was. We didn't have tickets for the banquet nor the awards ceremony that night. We were standing in line to get our copy of The BUICK a Complete History signed by Terry Dunham and the folks in front of us said they had some friends that couldn't make it so they offered us tickets to the ceremony to be held in the theater that night. They wouldn't even accept payment for them. Fully enjoyed it!!

MrEarl
For a couple of weeks before the National in Ames, Stealthbob and I worked feverishly on making this CD in time so I could take it and give it out as a door prize at the BCAFER's breakfast. Gave out about 5 copies plus a few more at the show. edit > Overwhelmingly positive responses so far!!!!!!!! Anyways, here it is along with a link to the greatest Buick forum on the planet where you can go and have a listen. clicky here > Music for Buick LoversBob and I hope you enjoy our little treat. After all we did it just for the Buick family. (On some of the songs you will need to swap the word Buick for the original word. As in When a Man Loves His Buick or Come on Buick Light My Fire.) Edited August 15, 2010 by MrEarl remove some whiny, dripppy text. now Derek you can edit yours. (see edit history)
Thriller
Have not yet heard from anyone that received one. I beg to differ sir... Granted, I was not as forthcoming as I might have been.As a recipient of one of these CDs, I can attest to its fun factor. Some of the songs are classics that I've heard before, but a few of them are just fun songs I hadn't heard before. My youngest wants some on his MP3 player.... At any rate, I had the CD in the changer in the truck on our return from Ames and it played through at least once if not twice each day.

MrEarl
Rita is getting a little sick of me asking "got your hat" every time we get in the Rivi. For awhile she would respond "umhummm" and even sing along with me as we went driving gayly down the highway. Now it is "can we just go, please". That's a great video. Thanks for all the work you must have put into it. Here's a few pictures to go along with the song."pretty girl and shinny Buick.......My Buick, My Love and I" uhmmm, I see a new thread in my crystal ball
