  2. If you have knowledge of those years of packards. That can be a great way to buy into a good car. But you better know what you are looking at. Finished pieces, extra parts and money sent. Sellers end up eating the declining value with every screw that is removed.
  3. I found a 55 on the internet that I keep looking at. Then I tell myself no. Not surprised this 56 found a new home. 55-56 Desoto’s are over looked. Nice cars.
  4. Looks like Ford got in on the action. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/804915120876156/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks
  5. Just looking at the pictures. If you locate another front seat from a Packard. Modify it, and upholster to match the one you have. You could pick up about 7-8 inches of room. Also by raising the seat up a couple of inches. And rocking it back in a reclining position. You will pick up some more room. You can work with the space you have. And still keep the original seat wrapped up. I can see how it can work. A local custom shop should be able to do it. Modify the lower back portion of the seat. And with the raising blocks, reposition the seat backwards. Hard to describe in a text.
  6. Get a friend to fly out with you. And cannonball run that Oldsmobile back home. Non stop, take turns driving, sleep in the car. Road trip in a classic rag top. It does look like a nice car. Price is worth a look if you are in the market for one.
  7. Looks like the ad is still up. I like the color, my old one was red.
  8. What popped in my head is the cartoons where someone goes through a wall. And then you see their shape in the hole. The movie cone heads popped in my mind. When looking at the shape of the door frame.
  9. Sorry, trying to learn this phone. Should be able to look up name on Facebook, and see the car for sale.
  10. Mike Buegeleisen 󱝍 Classic car for sale 1950 Oldsmobile 98 · Convertible · Driven 1,800 miles 1950 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible. Nice restored car.. I know nothing about the restore, when it was done or who did it. I bought this from a friend and he bought it from an estate. The owner had pasted so the information went with him. My guess from being around the car is this was a decent restoration with a driver quality paint job. You can pick it apart up close but at 10 feet it looks great.. The engine was rebuilt from the looks of how clean everything is and how clean it is under the valve covers. The underside of the car is clean as well.. It runs and drives well. Here are the bads: the car needs tinkering as I believe it was never completely sorted out after the restore. One rear quarter glass is broken. The fit on the doors needs adjustment.. The back of the hood needs pushed down after opened. Carburetor can use a freshen up as the accelerater pump is lazy. It's a cool car with tons of potential.. It's a lot of car for the Money. It gets a lot of attention and is fun to drive.
  11. Just tried to paste picture. Not sure how to paste text? Do not have this iPhone figured out. 27,500 on the Oldsmobile. Nice car, I had one.
