  1. Rarity does not necessarly mean value when it comes to old cars. If the car is in number 1 condition, restored to the highest standards with no expense spared, always trailored, kept in a climate controlled environment year around and is an open car. It might, on a good day bring 85 - 100 grand depending upon the auction and if the right buyer(s)are out there. Also, supurb original unrestored cars with very low miles will sometimes bring top dollar.
  2. Contact George Kaforski of Plano, IL. He specializes in Early Caddys. You also might join the ECG (Early Caddilac Group ) on line.
  3. It sure looks like 37-38 chevy sedan to me. The only difference between a 37 & 38 is the medallion which appears to be missing. The 37 would have horizontal holes and the 38 would have vertical hole sto mount the medallion. I believe Pontiac used the same lid.
  4. If they are 3/4 id 7/8 od they could be Auburn
  5. Were any of the 27 Chrysler headlights Nickel? Many headlight manufacturers Nickel plated brass buckets and painted the steel ones.
  6. Back in the 70's When I was single and had my first house, I was visited by a VERY persistent vacuum cleaner salesman. He insisted on demonstrating the vacuum. He actually walked by me and entered my living room. As he sat down on my couch and started to assemble the vacuum for a demonstration, I walked outside and turned on the water to the garden hose. With the nozzle off I entered the front door opened up the nozzle and squirted him. He became quite irate. I told him this is how I always cleaned my furniture.
  7. 88 would be an olds, but the year would be important.
  8. A $400,000 loss and there isn't there an insurance company involved?
  9. I don't believe those bumber guards are Chevriolet 1929-1948 I sold pre war Chev parts for years and do not recognize them.
  10. The 33 front fenders really add to the apperence!
  11. Not only does RI wire fit right it is fire resistant. Get a section of their wire then dead short it across the battery terminals. It will smoke and get hot as hell but no flame. Try the same thing with the original wire or the plastic wire some use. Typically RI wire harness are reproduced from original wire harness patterns. I have supplied them a couple for Auburns.
  12. Is the Mystery Spot an area that appears to defy gravity? As I recall there was (is) a place in the Black Hills of South Dakota like that. I don't recall the name of that attraction.
  13. Yes, a gentleman by the name of Tom Hanniford is the chief cook and bottle washer there. I send Tom the most difficult fuel pumps to rebuild, no one else has the parts. I have never been dissatisfied with the quality of his work.
  14. It is a Cord I know a past owner. It sat outside for many years in Elroy Wisconsin I have a friend who has pictures of it there. Trimacar, in defense of 58 Mustang, this is not the forsale / wanted forum. He is looking for identification.
  15. This is a very original unmolested CJ5 18,025 miles from new. I am the second owner. The original upholstery is nice under the seat covers. Original spare tire mounted on back. Comes with fiber glass top and 7" Western plow. Located near Saint Paul Minnesota, $8650
  16. I would say 33 Nash. looks a bit like Hudson but they had a bumper that dipped down in the middle. I believe the car on the right is a 30 Auburn.
  17. Does a 34-5 Buick have fender lights like those? Maybe Reo?
  18. I thought I added the pix.
  19. What is the car center stage.
  20. Notice how TYRE is spelled. Is that a UK spelling? White walls on both sides, probably 30's. I do not envy the restorer that primes and sands those rims to get all the rust pits out. Been there done that, never again.
  21. I don't know about a killing, but I found NOS parts for an antique Jrennings slot machine I was restoring. I don't know where I would have found those items other than eBay.
  22. I am in need of a RHD bell housing preferably for a six cylinder. An eight cylinder could be converted, so I will consider one of those as well. Any leads would be appreciated.
  23. Notice they have a smaller hole that was used to allign the holes for the lug bolts. I have seen MoPars with this arrangement.
  24. I have been looking far and wide to find a 1934-1936 Auburn time capsule like that 28 Dodge.
