  1. $7100 final price. Not bad considering the condition. Perhaps it's time to polish up the 78 and take some nice photos! 🤔
  2. Just a little over 2 hours left and bidding at over $6900 now. It will be interesting to see where this goes. I really enjoy driving my 78 EW around with the Buick 350, it has just enough power to do what I need it to do. I don't think I'd like towing anything with the A/C on though!
  3. In the new BCA Roster, it looks like there are 69 of this model listed. Serial numbers aren't listed of course but the roster has contact information for owners in other sections. You may want to become a member so you can access the roster and perhaps track it that way.
  4. The clock in my 78 EW is very reliable. Looses 10min over the course of a week... it never fails!
  5. Got the wagon out to pick up some lumber for some fence repairs. Was able to stretch its legs a bit on a 60 mile trip on the highway to blow some cobwebs out before winter. Was able to get a quick “fallish” pic.
  6. I wonder if the battery died while the car was on display at GM. The loss of voltage and perhaps the charging of the battery, may have effected some of the electronics like the heated seats, or one of the CPUs. I say this because I just have a new vehicle for work and noticed that the car was turning over slowly on start up, so I charged up the battery for a couple of hours. When I came back to the car both trip odometers had reset to zero mysteriously. The whole child in rear seat thing is a combination of opening a rear door and putting your bag on the seat as there are weight sensors in the seats. Put your bag on the floor and that should solve that. In my wife’s car, if you place something heavy (like her purse) in the back seat, the car thinks there is someone there and starts to beep because the seatbelt is not latched. The only thing to do Is stop, turn the car off remove the bag then carry on (or latch the seatbelt with no one there which is my go to move). Who said new cars are fun?!
  7. Not to mention how much time we spend tuning and maintaining the cars for the little mileage they actually get, which means they run pretty efficiently. The one time I had to take the 67 Electra through emissions testing it passed with flying colors!
  8. Oh yes, it has plastic tanks. I haven’t exactly found the source of the leak but it’s pooling at the bottom of the shroud. Those Pontiac tail lights are very close to the Chevy ones of the same year. A bit disappointing given the cost of that car new in 1983 was over $16000. It does have the Chev 305 which is actually a pretty peppy engine. Happy to get a pic of the dashboard for you...
  9. Here’s my contribution for today. Did some maintenance work on the wagon today so decided to go for a drive. Radiator is now leaking.... (no good deed goes unpunished) the triple red Pontiac is my wife’s car now. It was her mother’s car from new and now in her name so this is the first time we’ve toured the cars together. It’s 1983! It doesn’t look like fall much but there’s some fog by over the water mixed in with some haze from California smoke in the upper atmosphere. If you zoom in on the second pic you can make out downtown Vancouver in the background.
  10. The new Electra 220! (get it, 220 volts to charge...) 😆
  11. We still have some summer like temperatures on this coast, but still have some smoke around from California obscuring the blue sky. Hopefully that smoke will be gone by the weekend and I can enjoy some top down driving before the rains hit us.
  12. Beautiful shots John, but way too early! (Wishful thinking)
  13. And a Limited... can I like it twice?
  14. Well, the last bit of my A/C repair arrived over the weekend! the rebuilt compressor did not have the original sticker on it and the the sticker from the old one would not come off in one piece. Thankfully, this sticker is reproduced for the camaro/firebird crowd so I could get one to replicate the look. Just have to print the "code no." from my previous compressor (on a clear label) and apply.
  15. Was there a specific issue that was found during the Qjet rebuild? Asking for a friend.... 🙂
  16. I had the same problem as I was typically using Internet Explorer as my browser (I use that primarily as most of my work applications I have to access were designed to work on IE). It seems that many sites are now migrating away from IE and I suspect that's what the AACA forum has also done. If you switch browsers to the replacement of IE, MS Edge, the forum will work for you as it did before. I haven't tried other browsers like Firefox or Google yet, but Edge works fine.
  17. I looked at some photos in more detail and the side scripts are there. The guy claims original interior and a repaint about 20 years ago. He also thinks the engine must have been rebuilt at some point given how good it runs. He doesn’t mention mileage in the ad bit his phone number is there if you want it. Good luck with the sale!
  18. Hey Doug, looks what for sale here in BC. It’s been for sale for a bit and they started at $25k. It’s in a private group but I can try and get contact details for you if you like.
  19. someone with a 69 or later Electra should chime in here. The LeSabre was a "lower" model, so not sure if the Electra's received different treatment in the trunk. I know skylarks have the splatter paint instead of body color, but it's possible Buick did a bit more work on the higher line cars.
  20. Just saw a picture of a 69 LeSabre and it looked to have the splatter paint finish for the inside of the trunk. My 67 Electra is body color but uses cardboard liners to give a nicer finished look.
  21. My 67 Electra is body color inside the trunk. Every late 60's/early 70's is painted body color. Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen a post war buick with the inside of the trunk painted anything other than body color.
  22. Got the wagon out for some work this weekend. Actual work to haul lumber to repair some wood tie retaining walls around the house. those are 10-foot lengths of rough cut 4x6 stcking out of the back. The wagon really swallows them up. I have to go back tonight to pick up some more, but the wagon sure is nice to drive in this hot weather with the AC now working. Even my wife enjoys the drive!
  23. @MrEarl I just got my AC back together with the A6 compressor and I noticed the same belt flop. Belt is pretty tight to so I guess it is normal.
