  1. A '83 Park Ave is a rear wheel drive vehicle....Right??
  2. Thriller, Do not bother buying The Illustrated Encyclopedia of American Trucks if you are looking for informaton on Buick trucks. I purchased a copy and Buick is not listed in the book. It starts with Chevrolet.
  3. As soon as I get the axle back and the clutch relined I hope to start joy riding it again.. Especially with the bride. (of almost 40 years)
  4. Is this what you might be looking for? Stanweld lock rings 1913 1914 Overland antique 25" wood wire wheel brass era | eBay
  5. I would also check the ground at the ignition module. You might also have a bad crankshaft sensor. Not an unusual problem.
  6. If it is not too bad and the compressor is not leaking refrigerant, then I believe you can purchase a bearing and replace it. If it is really bad, then it is new compressor time.
  7. I remember having one of those with a 5.7 L diesel engine in it for a company car. It even had a sun roof or t-tops.
  8. The easy way that I use my 12 volt timing light on my 6 volt car is to just hook the timing light to an extra 12 volt battery that I have in the garage. Works fine. The timing light does not need to be attached to the car electrical system other than the inductive pick up.
  9. I agree with Carbking on surveys. I took a survey/statistics class in college and the one thing that I remember is tell me what you want to prove and I can write the survey to prove it. On a continuation of the mileage issue, I took a 2,500 mle trip with my Chevy Silverado truck and depending on the gas fill up(brand of gas), the mileage varied from 16.1 miles/ gallon to 19.3 miles/ gallon all highway mileage. This trip was in the center of the country with no big hills/mountains. I just set the cruise at 70 mph and relaxed to enjoy the scenery.
  10. The first picture of the 1910 Buick truck from the Sloan Museum in Flint. The second picture is a better picture of the Zig Zag truck.(supplied by 1910deliveryTRUCK) The third picture is of a 1910 Buick Truck owned by AT&T. All of the Buick trucks that I am aware of have pneumatic tires. My first impression is the truck is an International Harvester, but I am not confident of that first thought. I am quite sure it is not a Buick. Here is an AACA link for a Buick truck discussion. The second picture is one of my trucks and the bride in Flint for the GM 100th anniversary parade. http://forums.aaca.org/f165/buick-trucks-255548.html Hope this answers your questions.
  11. If you can not post it, you can send it to me if you want and I can post it. I should be able to tell you if it is a Buick Truck. There have been some Buick truck post cards on ebay recently. Usually they are phone company trucks.
  12. Here is what I am working with for the iron termites. Thanks for the help.
  13. Thank you both for your reply. I will keep looking. The pictures of the bolts shown are the good ones. The problem ones are all rusted and gone where the serrations are because of being in the area of the wet wood felloe. I will try to post some pictures of them for reference.

    fuel gauge

Rusty, Is the 41 different from later cars? On later cars if there is an open in the sending unit or the wire from the sending unit is open, then the gauge will read full. If it is shorted to ground it will read empty. Just my experience with later cars.
  15. Take it the dip and strip might work :-)
  16. AC Spark Plug and Champion spark plugs are different companies. AC Spark Plug was started when Billy Durant brought Albert Chanpion to Flint to build sparkplugs for his Buick and then GM cars, etc. That is where the AC (Albert Champions initials) came from. Champion left Durant and started his own company, the Champion Spark Plug company.
  17. Does anyone have a good source for the wheel bolts to hold the tires on artillery wheels with the wedges. The ones that I am looking for are 7/16 inch- 20 threads/ inch and about 2-1/2 inches long with the serated area and bent up head on one side. Thanks,
  18. The radiator cap ornament looks almost like the one in this posting. http://forums.aaca.org/f170/radiator-hood-ornament-326631.html
  19. It would help if you mightg put a picture of the tire, size on sidewall picture and the size put on the side of the tire. Would be more helpful so we would know what you are looking for.
  20. You only need to put the request out once, not three times.
