  1. Congtatulations on your purchase. Be sure to register your VIN, options, colors etc with Barney Eaton. (See Reatta.net). Post pics when you get a chance?? Jim
  2. First, a Happy New Year to all. Has anyone dealt with repositioning the reflector inside the tail light lens assembly? Looks like the one on driver's side has slipped out of place. Hoping it can be repaired thru the bulb socket holes & won't have to open the lens.
  3. Installed two of these kits on a friends Reatta. No problem with installation or results. Working fine. Will get same kits if/when mine go bad.
  4. I had the exact problem a few months ago. My window motor had stripped gears inside of the motor unit. Not visible until you drill out rivets & disassemble motor. Check on REATTA.NET for replacement instructions. Not too hard, but time consuming. BE SURE TO SECURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY BEFORE REMOVING IT FROM THE MOTOR......CAN MAKE A BLOODY MESS.
  5. Guess my mind is failing from old age or something, took me 2 minutes to decipher your greeting. May I add my "MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL". Jim
  6. Nic, my '89 owner's manual calls for 2057's. I have used them with no installation problems. Believe the 2 pins on the base are offset, they will go into the socket either way, but only twist into place one way. Jim
  7. Just hope coupe and I can hang in long enough for him to drive it.
  8. Just met my new Grandson this afternoon. He was 4 hours old at the time. My first words to him: "Can you say Reatta?". He didn't pay any attention to me, but hopefully the seed was planted. Life is good...... Jim
  9. You can go to reatta.net, look on FAQ page under remotes, will give full instructions. Also, I was the happy purchaser of Gearhead's shop manual a few weeks ago.
  10. At least it didn't come further south.
  11. Just a guess: could bolt be loose, allowing balancer to move forward on crankshaft? Good luck with repair. Please post your solution.
  12. Hope so, just a bit of paranoia, GS = exes initials. Didn't think there was a Reatta named after her.
  13. I agree on honors for Padgett. His posts have been a great help to many of us. Also, did some calculating.... if F14 posts at his current rate, he will have over 6,000 posts when he matches Padgett's time on the forum.
  14. WINTER??? WINTER BLADES??? Glad we don't have such things here.
  15. If you replace EVERYTHING on a car, is it considered as rebuilt??
  16. Good theory, but this is a prestressed concrete bridge. Not a lot of metal. Will try to remember to watch in the future. Thanx, Jim
  17. Had the same problem with mine. The whole screen moved around about 1/16 inch. I was on long bridge between Tampa & St Pete. As soon as I left the bridge, the picture stabilized. Think maybe it was caused by the remote tv cameras or radar on the bridge.
  18. Looks like F14 & Jess have some competition. Must have been quite a job painting the jambs, eng compartment, etc Red. Think I would have left it the original Camo.
  19. Just picked up a very good condition "1988 Buick & Reatta Road Atlas" from Ebay. Enclosed was this 10 commandments. Think we should all try to obey.
  20. Maybe it's time to ditch the Caddy & buy a '90 Claret Red convertible.?
  21. IMHO, you committed no sin by asking about a Reatta fender on the Buick Reatta Discussion Forum. I don't think any of us have a Reatta older than 17 years. Or younger than 14. Antiques?, no, but will be one day. With all the helpful Guys & Gals on this site, our cars will be on the road for many years to come. Someone directed you to Jim Finn. I'm sure he can help as probably can others. Welcome to the wonderful world of Reattas. Jim
  22. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">He is only charging $ 10 for shipping. </div></div> Maybe only $8.00 for shipping as quoted on his description.
  23. Excuse me for jumping into a Linc/Zeph post, but I request that you delete this thread. My fear is that my Reatta Forum cohorts will latch on to this and we will have an abundance of Reattas with this unique hood ornament, resulting in Ebay having a flood of the "Golden R's" for sale.
