  2. CONGRATS........You've had us all on pins & needles for a while. Glad you got it. I had some doubts after I bought my coupe, had a few minor problems, but it's been the best car I've ever had. Let's see some pics!! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
  3. Per Padgett's post: "So when I pulled the Right Front connector the computer recorded code 33. Pulling the left front connector gave code 36 (what I had been getting). Replacing the left front sensor which had a cracked insulator cleared the problem." Hope this clears things up. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  4. Sent you an E-mail earlier today. I will scan my copies of Dave Terry's window tutorial & forward to you & Nic. If anyone else needs a copy, let me know.
  5. Mine was doing the same thing. Found to be the gear inside the motor assembly. Not a real bad job to do. Think I spent total of 4 or 5 hours. I also made a new plastic water shield & replaced my door speaker. I have a tutorial which I will try to find & forward to you. Info is also in the Fact Service Manual. BEWARE OF SPRING IN REGULATOR!!!!! Will advise further as I can gather info. Jim
  6. Padgett: I realize that you are an expert on Reatta problems, and I certainly don't want to sound offensive. In reading thru posts, I have seen that the battery disconnect trick has solved many problems. Have you tried it?? I sometime have difficulty in seeing a tree for the forest. Good luck, Jim
  7. Probably will regret this post. My interior lights come on with the remote "light" or "door unlock" button. Guess I can expect one of them to fail soon. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
  8. Really doesn't look bad. I've been told that it is in very poor taste to show your nutz in public. Who's Fiero? Several members have/had them. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  9. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Well my experience with alternator bearings is that they whine or sometimes groan but I never heard one clatter. </div></div> Flashback: Sounds like my 1st wife. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  10. Hope you're happy F14, just spent 15 minutes reading replys & checking out the attachments. Randy, to paraphrase - "Mrs Brown you have some lovely daughters" Dogs are OK too. In pic of "Me & Dad": Who is Who? Or is it Whom is Whom?? Cheers: <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  11. I too welcome you to "Reatta World". May I also add my thanks to you and all other military for your service to our country. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  12. Padgett, thanx for the input. Just when I thought I knew everything <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
  13. Bob, rec'd my 2 plates yesterday (7/27) arrived in perfect condition & look great. The plastic wrapping is a nice touch. Thanks much. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  14. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Are the cocktail shakers still there ? </div></div> You lost me on this one.?? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  15. Any chance of any chemical reaction between the foam and the sheet metal?
  16. Just as a test, try this: have had it work on 4 different Reattas. Just disconnect the Neg battery terminal for 2 - 3 minutes, reconnect & try A/C again. You will have to reset your radio, clock time & trip odometer. Really nothing to lose by trying. Let us know results. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  17. Sounds like a good fix for a '90 - '91, too bad it won't work on an '89. Even if I could get to the inside of the CRT, the alcohol would probably be harmful to the phosphors. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
  18. "If you manually select hi fan, will it go to hi?" No. Kept closer watch today. After minute or two of driving, dash outlet read px 62 degrees. Again about 10 mins later, fan went into hi & outlet temp pulled down to 50. Stayed around 48 - 50 'till stopped for traffic lite - crept back to 60. Back up to speed temp dropped to 50 again. Stopped at bank for 15 mins. Started car back up, fan went to hi right away. Kinda like a 10 minute delay when car doesn't run for a few hours. Don't think it's a low voltage issue, thinking more like a relay somewhere.?
  19. Scenerio: Leave work in afternoon, a/c set to automatic @ 74 degrees. Ambient temp 95. Interior temp 115 or so. A/C blows on low with cool air for about 10 minutes then fan switches to high & starts putting out colder air (or maybe just higher volume). Any thoughts on why there is a 10 minute delay for hi speed to kick in??? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  20. Welcome aboard. You have associated yourself with a great group of people that will offer advice/help. With Bob as your Mentor, you are off to a very good start in "Reattaland". <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
  21. Superb <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  22. Interesting. We left Tampa 6/27 for Chicago & arrived back in Tpa 7/5 P.M. Put px 2.5k miles on the Bonne. Didn't see a Reatta anywhere. No car problems on the whole trip, but went thru Orlando on the way home & car was trying to steer toward Padgett's house. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
  23. Bob, if it's not too late, pls put me down for one. Tks: Jim
  24. Sorry, I have no advice for this problem, but you may consider posting on the "Buick Reatta" forum if you have not already done so.
  25. I have fixed 3 '89's by just disconnecting the Neg battery cable for 15 - 20 seconds. You will lose radio & trip odometer settings, but it may be worth a try...
