  1. Sorry, I can't help with recommending a mechanic, but believe I remember a formula from algebra class many years ago: CG+BR+M=$$$$ Good luck. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  2. Thanks, think I'll just keep myself & car here. We are both way too old to make such a big move. If you get a chance, check a thread on the Buick Reatta Forum about some New Zelanders that bought a Reatta & are having it converted to Right Hand drive. Ongoing story, but much work & $$$$$$. G'day. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  3. Would car have to be converted to right hand drive?? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
  4. Bump to top for current inquery.
  5. There was a thread on this problem within the last 6 months. Use "search" to find, I will look also.
  6. I usually just highlight the text, copy, & paste it to an E-mail to myself. Then just print the E-mail. May be a better way, but this is fairly easy. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  7. Wonderful assortment of Buicks. Guess I'll have to move "down under" so a Reatta can be included in next years show. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
  8. I think the 'vert, with the top DOWN, is one of the best looking cars ever made. With the top UP, the coupe is much better looking. Alas, my car must be a daily driver, and parks outside in the weather. Far from ideal conditions for a convertible. However, if my wife DOES decide to bury me in it, I would prefer the coupe. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
  9. Believe the underhood light only works with the parking or headlights on.
  10. Hi, Ron. Welcome to the Reatta Forum. With all the helpful people here, you should get some leads on a nice 'vert. Any preferences on color, trim etc?? Good luck in finding the right car. Also, if you would, pls advise the vin's of your current corral along with mileage, colors, trim, accessories, etc. so Mr Eaton can add them to the data base (see REATTA.NET) <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  11. First thought: have you checked ALL of your vacuum lines?? 'specially pcv valve line & grommet? Good luck.
  12. Start at the top center of inside rear window. You should see a wire coming from above headliner with a plastic connector attaching it to the window. The plastic connector is appx 1-1/2 inch wide X 1/2 inch high. It has 2 female terminals similar to the ones on a 9V battery. Attached to the window should be 2 male terminals for connector to snap onto. There should be a wire visible in the glass that goes straight down from each terminal for about 2 inches, and makes about a 12 in or so diameter circle. All of this is above the horizontal defroster grid. Hope this helps.
  13. As I looked thru the Reatta listings on the AutoTrader site, I noticed three or four listed as 1 mile. Is this "Poetic License" or just "Creative Writing"? If they were actually claiming a 1 mile car, would think it would be in BLARING HEADLINES. Whatever the reason, "It just ain't right". <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
  14. I think it did, but maybe it's my previous next mistake.
  15. If you have to disconnect your keyless entry antenna from the rear window, be sure to reattach it. Some folks have left the connector stuffed up above the headliner. = No range on the remote.
  16. I don't have anything to advise on repair shops, I've been able to cover my own repairs so far. Let me know when you are coming to Tampa, & will be glad to lend whatever assistance I can. Just post here, or write to my Email address on my profile.
  17. Welcome to the Reatta World. Take time to browse thru the posts on the forum and you will find answers to most problems. Also, be sure to check out the info on "reatta.net". Barney Eaton is the keeper of the VIN's, so send him your info on mileage, colors, trim, options, etc for the database. The "search" function on the forum is a bit tricky, but gets easier with practice. Think your Caddy remote may work, you will find programming instructions on "reatta.net". You will also want to do the "Brake test".
  18. Seems that there was a thread on caps within the last year, run a search. Think it was Barney that ran a pic of color & shape.
  19. Suppose it could be stuffed into the seat in the lumbar area. Then, on those long trips where some folks sleep with their feet in the trunk, it might come in handy on a cold night.
  20. Thank you, C F. Vincent's post shows the 'Vette bladder, but on the same thread, Barney attached a pic of the original one. Think I'll go for one of the cuffs for $10 - $15 & see if I can make it work.
  21. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Honest Opinion. Looks like a Civic, Hyundai, Probe, Neon, etc... with a Reatta Tailight. Nothing personal. Just my opinion. </div></div> I have to agree with Vincent. The quality of your workmanship looks fine, but to paraphrase Red Skelton (a great comedian, for you younger guys), "It just don't look right to me".
  22. Thanks, Brian. Seems that there were some posts awhile back that gave a negative on the 'Vette bladder. One of the guys at our "Fl in Feb" Reatta lunch mentioned using the cuff from a blood pressure moniter.... Actually, I was just kinda kidding Barney with my reply, since he is producing great bell cranks & visor clips.... Anyone have a pic of the original bladder?
  23. Pic not the best on my 'puter, but looks pretty good. Beats sending $40 to Australia. Wish I had a 'vert so I could test them here in the tropic zone. Now, for a Lumbar Bladder.....
  24. 1: I don't think so, but Barney will probably advise. 2: No airbag in '89, except for an occasional passenger.
