  1. Hello all, It"s about time that I get in line for some trimmer work. There is a fellow in Ohio that took over for his father that I heard knows these cars. Could someone Share his name and phone number via PM. Also interested in other suggestions should you know of someone. Thanks, Dennis
  2. Thanks Larry, I'll try two while your cutting. Check is in the mail. By the way, the cardboard templates you provided for the vacuum tank straps were very helpful and the service bulletins have already helped others as well. Thanks again, Dennis
  3. Thanks Tom, That makes sense and it looks a bit like the line drawing in the manual. If it was rubber , maybe that is why I don't have it. Dennis
  4. Thanks for the reply. I can't really post a picture under the dash . My column looks just like the picture you provided. It attaches to the dash with two 5/16-24 bolts into the cast bracket on the steering column (lock). The bolts ( 2 different lengths) bottom out before getting tight to the dash. Then I noticed part 3682 in the chassis manual listed as a spacer. I don't recall ever seeing this part and honestly don't know if it was steel, cast or a rubber isolater. The manual makes It look as if it would go in the area between the cast column bracket and the dash Thanks again, Dennis
  5. I am having trouble getting my steering column tight to the bottom of the dash. In the parts book, they list a spacer # 3682 and it appears to go between the column and the dash. I don't recall seeing this part and certainly don't have one now. Anybody have a description of this part or a picture? the manual doesn't say if it is rubber or steel. Thanks, Dennis
  6. Hello, looking for 6 lug 17.5'' wheels. These were optional for the Napco high clearance package . Made by both Kelsey Hayes and Firestone. Could pick up at Hershey. Thanks, Dennis
  7. Thanks, Will do. I searched NBCSN last night as that is the usual channel, but did not find any coverage.
  8. Steve, Any idea what channel this will be on? I can;t find any mention of TV coverage. I"m supposed to be there but work got in the way. Dennis
  9. Found two. Still need three more. Thanks
  10. Hello , Looking for 17.5'' 6 lug wheels for 1/2 ton pickup. These were part of the high clearance package option. Thanks, Dennis
  11. Keep in mind this a sleeve valve. The sleeves are susceptible to sticking. They can be freed up if some one has not tried to start it. If they try cranking it over without first freeing it up, it will likely break the sleeve rod or the boss on the sleeve. Not an easy fix and virtually no replacement parts. Seems like a nice car if the engine isn't broken internally. Dennis
  12. Hello, My son just purchased and drug home a 53 Plymouth Cambridge P24 club coupe. It is beyond restoration but hated to see it scrapped. Speak up if you need any parts .Hershey delivery possible. Thanks, Dennis
  13. Any body remember the apple dumplings at Hershey? Or the fireman's food in the white field? Dennis
  14. Thanks Peecher, I suspected that. One pump that I disassembled clearly had some leakage at the diaphragm but no apparent cause. The second one that I had apart had some issues with the valve function but no apparent corrosion or decay. I just don't get it. Will try Mr. Brown. I for one, miss your once frequent posts on these forums. Hope all is well. Dennis
  15. Hello, I will be on my third new fuel pump in the last few years and my car is not officially on the road yet. The last one was a new Airtex I believe. The car has been sitting in the shop during assembly. The push rod is new and appears to have good travel. When I remove the pumps and work it by hand, I have little to no vacuum or pressure. Anybody have a similar experience with replacement pumps? Any suggestions on finding a good one? Thanks, Dennis
  16. Thanks Mike, Exactly what I needed. I am mounted too high on the bellhousing. I can keep moving with assembly this weekend. Thanks again Dennis
  17. Does any body have a picture of the O/D cable bracket on the Transmission end? My bracket had been cut and I have the correct one. Kind of a L shaped bracket. I have it bolted to the bellhousing , Drivers side above the shift linkage where it looks like it would go. If i install it here, there is no place to bolt the L shaped piece and it hits my transmission cover. What am I missing here? Thanks again, Dennis
  18. Larry, I received the info. Just what I needed. Thanks again. I can scan the pages and e-mail if anybody thinks we should add them here for future reference. i don't know how to post them here. Dennis
  19. Larry, I have sent you a sase. Thanks very much. Dennis
  20. Hello again, Does anyone have a picture of the vacuum tank mounts. It is my understanding it mounts under the drivers side fender. My car never had a tank but I intend to add one. Thanks, Dennis
  21. Congratulations Tom, Looks fantastic
  22. Tom, I got it. Never thought to look for that hole and the new cowl insulation pad was covering the interior access. Looks like it belongs there. I really appreciate the pictures and your time and would be happy to help you or others if I am able. Thanks again, Dennis
  23. Tom, That's what I needed . I will look tonight . Thank you! Dennis
  24. Tom, Nice job. I am looking forward to fighting with mine soon. Dennis
