I had to wire mine up too because the previous owner had made a flat piece of steel with two holes for mounting. The holes elongated and the trans would slip out of gear occasionally with a horrible bang upon acceleration. Works good for now.
Well, I bought it several years ago to use on a car I no longer own so it's now for sale for the $100 I paid for it plus shipping. if anyone is interested email me at rego@hughes.net
Thanks,
Reg
Since your cable is broken cut off 6" from the speedo end, put it in your drill and in reverse gear see if it works smoothly. Try a drop of oil if it's sticking.
The fluid drive coupling is kind of like two opposing fans close to each other. One fan turns the other. There is no mechanical connection between the fans.
Well, here's what I know.
Both the 33 and 34 Plymouths did not have a water distribution tube in the top of the block and the water jacket around the cylinders did not extend all the way down to the bottom of the bore.
Neither of the 33-34 heads will interchange with the 35 and later engines.
Blakew,
I want to install seat belts in my 33 PD 4 dr sedan and wondered if you had any photos of your installation. Did you have to cut slots on the back of the front seat ?
Thanks,
Reg
My old 35 Dodge engine is pretty dirty inside so when I use detergent oil it turns black in a day or so. If I run non-detergent oil in it the color stays like the color of honey for months.
Just my experience.
