Ed, the trunk cardboard will fit in you car. I have the sets in big plastic bags so they don't get dirty. I just don't want to mail them. I am sure they will get bent. I will bring sets with or without trunk release. I will also bring a resistor, and some chrome door panels. Gene

I will be bringing some 63 to 65 parts to the National meet. I have new trunk cardboard at 50 dollars a set. I will not be taking a lot of the cardboard due to size. I will not ship this due to the size, so please let me know if you want a set. I also have a complete wood wheel, power vent windows, a set of 4 note horns, power antennas, a complete rear defroster set up, mirrors, stainless, rear arm rest. headlight motors, a 66 fan shroud, turbine wheels, spoke caps, purse hooks, a set of 64 seat belts with only the buckle and strap (NOS) and a lot more. I also have some re-chromed items. If any one needs any thing special please let me know so I can pack it up. I am coming in a car so space is an issue. It should be a great meet. I think I have a new set for the front. They go between the fender and the bumper. I can bring them to Kentucky if anyone is interested. They are original, not repro. The cost is 120 dollars for the set of two.I only have the two pieces. They are both soft and pliable. I will not ship these as I am afraid they will get damaged. Gene.

If you it screwed to the floor, loosen the bracket on the floor and tighten it up top first. Then you can re tighten the bottom,. Be careful not to make it to tight it will put stress on the two tabs. Hope this helps. Gene.

Assuming your talking about the 63 to 65 models. The chrome trim around the headliner was available in 64 and 65 with the delux interior package. Gene.

#420162 and #420163 were for 64 Rivs, The first of nine tabs are at the edge of the molding. In 63 the first tab was not at the tip and a rag or towel would catch the molding when drying the car and the molding would break. In 64 they corrected this problem. Gene.

The chrome headliner trim was not available until 64. It was not an option in 63. Gene.

What I have done in the past is mount clips to molding first. This way when you tap it back on the car the clips will not fall inside never to be seen again. You may also want to put a small drop of adhesive on the clip to keep it fom falling off. One more thing, if you have the moldings re chromed the studs might be a little to big to receive the clip so you may have to widen the slots or file the 9 spades on the molding. That is my total knowledge on the horseshoe molding. Hope it helps.

Aaron, just cut a small thin piece of felt and with the fuzzy side out just glue it in. It will keep the vent ball from bouncing around. Gene

I have put 5 inch speakers in the rear arm rests and put them on the same wire. I also put the front and rear center on the other wire which gave me stereo all over the car. It was a great sound in the car and no matter where you sat you could hear the stereo sound. It is easier to replace the rear arm rests as opposed to the rear package tray. Just some thoughts. Gene
