  1. I have to sell this car as I do not have a place to keep it any longer. White with a blue interior and white top. The interior has no rips or tears but the carpet looks worn. Top isn't bad at all. Body good. Ran when parked but now needs a starter (which will be done this week). All the injectors were just removed and cleaned. 109K miles. Car is just south of Boston in East Bridgewater, MA 02333 Tom Benvie 508 378-1423
  2. Thanks Don for coming-the parts are now spoken for.
  3. There is an easier way. if you are looking for 91 Reattas, use this: 1991 Reatta site:craigslist.org exactly like that. You can change 1991 Reatta to anything and get the site results. You can also eliminate searches by adding a comma after Reatta, then a minus sign with the term you want to eliminate. Here is an example: Reatta site:craigslist.org gave me 8940 matches 1991 Reatta site:craigslist.org gave me 1870 matches 1991 Reatta, -Buick site:craigslist.org gave me 16 matches Put your cursor to the right of the ad and you will see double arrows. Just hover over the arrows and the ad will open in a small window and you will be able to see if it is still an active ad, deleted, etc.
  4. Yes, the parts are still here but I have to get rid of them in the next week or so as I am adding an addition to my house where they are currently stored. Give me a call 508 378-1423
  5. I don't believe at this point in my life I will be buying any more repairable Reattas so I want to get rid of the extra parts I have that are taking up space. I have about a half dozen doors, fenders, a few hoods, decklids, some wheels, and misc other items. The doors have the windows and mirrors. It is all free, just come and get it. However, it is all or nothing-not interested in having anything left over or dealing in individual pieces. Tom Benvie tbenvie@comcast.net
  6. I have a 90 white with blue interior convert with about 120K miles for $3000. Runs and drives fine, tops good as well. Have a 90 blue/blue interior coupe with 79K on it for $2800 with a mint interior. And a 91 Polo green with about 70K on it for $3500. In Boston, not too far away. trying to reduce my car accumulation-just sold 4 TCs last fall.
  7. The red coupe and some of the parts sold. How about $1500 and all the rest of the parts for the convert? Also have a white/maroon 90 coupe with 135k on it. minor dent on hood but have another white one, bent corner on decklid and have a good red one. $900. The coupe was a daily driver until last year-still runs and drives great. Here are some links to the craigslist ads: 1990 Red Reatta Convertible 1990 Buick Reatta Coupe Have a 90 convert with 79K miles white/grey for $5000-excellent shape. Have a 90 convert white/blue in decent shape with 130k-$2900
  8. Well, 4 of my cars sold and one is still listed. Two left. I am thinking of donating the 75k mile convert to my kids school for a raffle-I am sure they can sell 1,000 ten dollar tickets. White, grey interior, CD and new white top. That leaves another red/tan interior/tan top car. Real high mileage-212k I think, or more. Paint is dull, top keeps the weather out but is not show shape. I think it has a CD but if not I will include one. Runs and drives fine-has to be worth $1800. Will include the 90 coupe and all the extra parts from my other ad for $2500 the pair. (coupe is also red/tan/sunroof/cd) Cars in East Bridgewater, MA, just south of Boston. Tom 508 378-1423

  10. I have a few questions. If I ordered a new 91 convert, would they build it for me then send it to be tested and then...? Obviously if it passed I would get it, but if it didn't would I just get another that did pass? Just curious how the whole customer relations thing went. For employee buyers. How were they chosen? Did they get a list of colors/options and pick by a lottery or something? An owner at Danvers told me she and her husband bought one through the employee program but not the one they originally wanted. Was there any requirements to be an owner, such as how long they had to own it before reselling it, etc? Was the car under warranty, or was it limited, or? Just wondering.
  11. Back in April I had a minor stroke which has limited my ability to work on cars so I am selling off many of the Reattas and Allantes I have. Most are on Craigslist and Ebay now. This post is for a 1990 red /tan interior coupe with sunroof and CD player. I have owned it for over 10 years and it has about 134K on it. Decent shape but not driven the last 8 years, and now it doesn't start. It comes with a ton of extra parts i will no longer need-4 pairs of fenders, 3 pairs of doors with mirrors and vent windows, decklids, bumpers, hoods, headlights, 2 sets of 88-90 wheels, etc. etc. Asking $850 for everything, or roughly the cost of a windshield and scrap value. last 6 of the VIN are 903005.
  12. A few years ago someone posted pics of a non factory convertible that was found in a junkyard. Perhaps those pics could be added to this post? Was it ever determined where that particular convert was made?
  13. "'If this is true (and I have no reason for doubt), shouldn't Carfax classify this as a salvaged car?" ' I have a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII with a salvage title I purchased from the salvage pool and fixed myself back in 93-also the first year for salvage titles in Mass. Has a clean carfax.
  14. I have tracked the Select 60 cars for a number of years and of the 65 made only one is not accounted for-turned up salvage after a hurricane in Houston in 1999. This is it-which means all 65 cars are still around and now accounted for. 100% survival rate after 21 years!
  15. I have 3 90 converts i must get out of storage. Two red with tan tops, one white with blue interior and white top. Bodies are okay, tops are decent, or at least keep the weather out, interiors have no rips or tears. one red one has mileage 200K plus, the other two are around 150K. $2000 each Also have a 93 Allante, 79K miles, hit in rear-no frame issues, didn't even damage decklid. Have parts to repair, needs some quarter panel work. Champagne with tan interior. Have super rare correct for 93 hardtop for an additional $1500 to buyer and also NOS seat covers-all 4 pieces from the factory in tan for $450 to buyer. Have 2 90 coupes-red/tan with sunroof and CD. 132K miles. Needs fuel pump. White maroon some minor rust issues. $600 each. Have misc body panels-doors, hoods, rear bumpers, fenders, decklids, etc. Everything is in East Bridgewater, MA-just south of Boston. email-tbenvie@comcast.net
  16. This is not the only reason. When inspecting a car and say find the 88 window in a 91 you would ask why? Same if other wrong year parts are present. maybe it's nothing, but certainly worth a second look. i can't tell you how many "low mile" AMXs I have been asked to inspect and quickly find otherwise due to wrong parts that most don't realize.
  17. Shock Tower Decals and Misc
  18. Various radiator support decals
  19. Did you know windows had date codes? I check them on AMXs when I judge them
  20. Soon the Reatta may become more collectible, and just like any restoration the details will count. So here are some pictures of various decals under the hood of the Reatta (a small business just waiting to happen would be reproducing these various decals). There were changes over the years, and sometimes within the same year. And some cars may not have received all of them-so in no particular order, here are some from various master cylinders:
  21. let me try again (you all didn't really think I didn't know what i was talking about, did you?) Blue Reatta-aftermarket push on clips-not stock Red Reatta-round push pins in the clips-88 model White Reatta-rectangle push pins in clip-at least 90 and 91 Then 3 different pics of the indentation left by the hood spring.
