  1. (3) Marketplace - 1968 AMC AMX | Facebook Very complete car. No title, bill of sale only. 390 engine is stuck but all complete down to smog equipment. 4 speed. This is a barn find I've recently acquired. Have not looked under neath. I do see a hole in drivers inner rocker. 406 533 94fourtwo
  2. Guys (and gals) This appears to be a good price, I think you could get this driver for $7500 cash, but $8500 is not out of the question.
  3. (3) Marketplace - 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado · Coupe 2D | Facebook Sorry John, I tried to save then paste.... Good solid car nice paint and body 425 v8 starts right up runs good has a power steering leak needs a little tlc but overall a very decent old car.I will not respond to is this still available if you’re serious about the car call the number in the pics.Might consider trades although I do prefer just to sell the car out right.Clean title in hand.ill be adding more pictures later
  4. Right, but as the experts noted, $55,000 is right priced and I am not. I believe this car has already sold for $55,000, maybe more.
  5. Correct observation. There seems to be 2 main responses - those that respond quick because they are glued to social media - they usually respond with little additional information, they just respond. Or - the response never comes or comes days or weeks later because a social media family member or friend has actually posted the car.
  6. Marketplace - 1975 Lincoln Continental · Town coupe | Facebook 1 owner garage kept all original everything works from the heated rear window to the radio with eight track. Feel free to call or text me with any questions you might have ** For some reason I have started to save a lot more of these Facebook marketplace ads and I am seeing some, well most - like this one go on for 6-8 months unsold OR - drop off facebook when the seller simply gives up and takes down their listing. On my facebook marketplace feed, I can even delete an ad I have given up on and for some reason it pops up in my "messenger" that the post has been removed. More and more, I am sending a message "SOLD?" and the reply is NO, I just took down the listing. So my takeaway from this is that (1) a lot of cars are over-priced and not selling and (2) the sellers are for some reason not paying attention and wanting to price adjust cars TO SELL. Meanwhile, some cars priced realistically and fairly are finding new owners. Anybody else saving located for sale cars finding the same thing and what does that really say about the "driver class" or "project class" sector of the car market?
  7. As reported on the Reatta forum, a member with the sign on name Padgett, has apparently passed away. Padgett - who was a very private forum member - apparently was named Atley "Padgett" Peterson. He was an engineer, we believe, tall - because he often commented about the 2 seat sports cars from GM he tried to fit in. A look at the statistics that show most frequent visitors to this esteemed forum (AACA Forum) will show he is #2. I am sure he was a BCA member at one time, so he deserves a spot on here. He will be missed.
  8. Jim Finn? Have not heard from him in awhile. You seen this car? My photos "disappear" after awhile I am told, but the link is above. I think there was someone on here recently looking for a 1991 Polo Green coupe, not a convertible. 104,000 miles, but appears well maintained and has 16 ways.
  9. (5) Marketplace - 1991 Buick Reatta | Facebook 1991 Buick Reatta. Rare Polo Green with Saddle Tan interior. Excellent condition, turn key show car ready. Only 120 Buick Reatta were ever produced in Polo Green in 1991. Fully loaded from factory with 16 way power seats, moon roof, and CD player. Everything functions as designed. I have a large collection of Buick Reatta field service manuals, owners manuals, literature and memorabilia that I will include with the vehicle. Asking $6,000 OBO. Located in MN 55112
  10. I always recognized him by his Avatar! I'll miss that "rabbit"? too!
  11. This one has some things going for it but some not going for it --- for $21,000 US. Bucket seats console is a +. BLACK bucket seats console is a -. Leather needs a lot of love but is original, this is a driver class 63 convertible, a $10,000 to $12,000 car. I know, I know, I am super cheap but I purchased these drivers for a 15 year period for $2,000 to $6,500. What is my incentive to pay 4 x that for this car?
  12. I believe this seller is in the KFOCI. Jim Lape might know. These were simply some of the best styled cars of 1951, very modern.
  13. I think a person buys a 58-60 Lincoln for their period quirkiness. It's dated, and unique but I have never, ever heard of a critique of these cars that can explain them as good looking. They are ugly. But, I don't hate looking at them, if that makes sense. That fellow in Maine who passed away, Goldenrod Garage, had a Hess & Eisenhardt for many, many years for sale I think in the $20,000 to $22,000 range. I liked it a lot because of the thicker C Pillar which balanced it out. I wonder what happened to that car? It was black too.
  14. Read most of this thread this morning. 1st, I’m an MGA fan but have never owned one. I’m not sure about the B but I decided to look on Facebook marketplace and found literally dozens of them for sale from projects to drivers - none for more than $6,500. Yet the MGA search (granted it’s geographically limited to 250 miles from central Iowa) yielded 3-4. One nice project for I think $8500 asking and other finished cars for up to $35,000.
  15. Yes, he will get $55k. Some knowledgeable pricing guys have said so.
  16. Oh okay, sorry. While it is a nice car and I’m not an expert like you, and I mean that sincerely not condescending- I have heard that closed pre war cars are not bringing $55,000 and I know of a few, such as that 1932 Buick 97 - that are selling in the $20,000 to $30,000 range. I know of a 1940 Cadillac 75 series that the seller has reduced from $32,000 to $21,000 with no buyers yet. And other examples. That is why I said $25,000. But I guess it is a $55,000 car after all. To me, this body style - the 2 door - is more associated with Buicks, Chevrolet, Ford or more in the medium price range of offerings in the 30s. I’m actually a bit surprised Cadillac offered it.
  17. Well it’s a 60 series, small wheelbase “cheap” Cadillac. Lovely car, based on the Buick and Oldsmobile body with Cadillac grille and drivetrain. Yes it’s a 61.
  18. I appreciate these postings but am getting weary of the post pandemic greedy sellers. Some other poster suggested it was refreshing to see a reasonable price on another post, then said something like “before it comes up for sale again at $29,900”.
  19. About a $25,000 car. But, with that much difference in price vs value, this will drop off Facebook marketplace and we will never know if sold or part of an eventual estate sale.
  20. Yes Brad, yes it is. That made me smile. But you are right. I am a big fan of golds, browns and similar colors but I don't know about it in this generation of Park Avenue. Give me that dark blue, black, or even the dark Polo Green with the medium saddle interior. Depending on the condition, the Pearlescent White pops. But not this Gold.
  21. This is indeed very sad news. I guess he did not want to let us know, he had cancer. Yes about one year ago he got sideways with AACA Forum staff, but then came back on. I hate losing forum members, even if they just stop posting. I am also guessing he was not married, but I don't know. Sometimes when we post, we include "my wife likes..." and comments about our kids but I don't remember any comments like those.
  22. Photo 1 is done your way. The last two photos were cut and paste. Now, I cut and pasted the photos of the 70 Imperial and the 77 New Yorker and they seem fine, for now. I don't get it.
