  1. Agreed. Need to get more photos. Look at the seller - younger. He may be selling for an estate or his parents who do not have Facebook. I like that it is a 4 door hardtop and not a fixed pillar sedan. Colors are nice too. Likely has that black fabric interior with stitching in the seats.
  2. Marketplace - 1976 Lincoln Continental · Copper | Facebook 76 Lincoln continental. This car really is in awesome shape for its age. She has a hair over 56,000 miles, she came from Austin Texas and has NEVER seen salt and it shows. Absolutely 0 rust, I bought it to daily drive and quickly realized that the 460 that’s under the hood really likes her go go juice and with winter fast approaching, it would be a crime to drive her in the snow so I bought a 4x4 pickup to daily instead. She turns heads everywhere she goes and really does run like a dream. You can ask for my number and we can talk more and I can answer any questions you might have. Will not respond to “is this available
  3. But will be offended by any offer less than $18,500.
  4. I had a 22nd series Custom 8. I never got it restored as I went nuts buying late 40s iconic cars but I enjoyed sitting in it and being in its “aura”.
  5. A person who owns or buys it better hope the engine never needs rebuilt.
  6. Side trim deleted for this last run? What was the wheelbase I can’t remember.
  7. Grow in value? You start from $45,000 I don’t think so. Why don’t people that install an aluminum radiator at least paint them satin black? That is like installing the ubiquitous Edelbrock carb.
  8. Many of us say we would buy it including me if…. In my case as I’ve noted before, I am trying to get a project car to work on with a young man. But he would probably go right back to gaming if I hauled this in. This should have been snatched up already. Can’t believe the Studebaker Club guys haven’t grabbed it.
  9. Perfect observation. It was an open car, and by 1928, closed cars flipped the purchasing decision.
  10. Marketplace - 1918 Studebaker Big 6 | Facebook 1918 Studebaker Big 6 · Convertible · Driven 12,965 miles 1918 Studebaker 6 cylinder for sale. Car was parked in a barn in 1928 and never moved again. It's in great shape considering it's age. I just dont have time to mess with it. Any serious questions just send a PM or call. This is a very untouched car. Located in Hobart Indiana $3000 obo phone 219-771-9915
  11. Pricing has always been a big consideration of mine. I would rather get a nice driver for $24,000 than double that for the originally posted car. But there is a lot of money amongst the retirees with salt and pepper hair as evidenced by the winners with their beer guts at the Scottsdale auctions. They overspend they can’t take it with them. This original posted car may be perfectly fine for them.
  12. I’d be careful on this one. Sounds like a scam price. I don’t play in that sandbox but these go for much more in project condition. It’s either legitimate and he will be inundated and pull the ad in a couple days and we will see $20,000 for a new ad or it’s scam.
  13. There are many examples of western US salvage yards where tons of perfect stainless and chrome was crushed for lack of interest. Freeman’s in Montana comes to mind. People have to PAY for the part then PAY for shipping. And many times it was not worth it. We can have this discussion because we are respectful and passionate but in the end the economics don’t line up. Crush them. Move on.
  14. That is a symbol of the issues in the hobby now. Too expensive to even go get at “crusher price” of $250.
  15. I would think a Reatta collector would want it. I’m not sure how many Reatta collectors there are, those with multi car collections of unique Reattas. It does appear to have 16 way seats even though BaT says otherwise.
  16. This car was just on this website I believe. Must not have gotten any serious interest.
