Marketplace - 1966 Oldsmobile 1966 | Facebook Seller's Description Oldsmobile 98, '66, 425 engine in great shape. It was fully restored in 1997 and has been driven many times since then, but only on special occasions. The car looks great, has air conditioning, electric windows, only 16,000 miles on the replaced engine. As far as I know, everything works, but you would need to see it and drive it to be sure for yourself. It comes with 4 extra tires and rims. The '66 lives inside and has always been in a garage when resting. 25,000 or make an offer. I'm ready to sell. Thanks for looking, Dick

1972 Lincoln Mark IV $3500
B Jake Moran replied to B Jake Moran's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
The seller is likely not showing the rust issues that are likely there around the rear vinyl roof. Or maybe rust is not present. I just like the Olive Green body color and dark green top with essentially matching interior. This is the favored pre 5mph Continental Mark IV, arguably better styled than it's cousin the Thunderbird. -

NOS Buick Hubcaps close to me (1950's??)
B Jake Moran replied to B Jake Moran's topic in Buick - Buy/Sell - Not Mine
The older I get the more I like the base hubcaps of vehicles I am considering. This cap has a beautiful but simple BUICK on it. I just don't know what it would be correct on. Then I could go buy that car! -
NOS Buick Hubcaps close to me (1950's??)

Old buick hubcaps from the late 40s or early 50’s not sure of their application as they were not from my 40 super or 56 roadmaster. Been in my garage for over 20 years cant remember what they are from. -
I think I have read everything. It is time to charge money to attend Hershey. May create long lines. But why on earth would it be FREE? I have been to Hershey once, in 2010. I would GLADLY have paid $10.00 to enter. Goodguys in Des Moines, Iowa has a well attended July 4 3 day event, it's $6 to $10 to enter for non attendees. My dad dropped me off in 2010 so no parking fees. He went to Valley Forge and came back and picked me up around 5:00pm. As for hot rodders, most people that have a hot rod are by nature rebels! They don't want to conform. Yes, broad brush I get it, but they are as a group wanting a unique representation of the old car hobby, not wanting to paint the engine bay the correct satin black and recreate assembly line marks. So if you allow them to be at an AACA event in the name of needing the revenue, the cost will be a changed environment.

Wonder why they would want to come? Let's see - we can come but oh by the way we are going to be way far away and essentially ostracized. Sure, let's go. Doesn't make sense.

I have a 2007 Mazda Miata that will be eligible in 2032. Many early Miatas are eligible now, I believe. I'm just picking on you, don't take it serious.

NOS Buick Hubcaps close to me (1950's??)
B Jake Moran replied to B Jake Moran's topic in Buick - Buy/Sell - Not Mine
Surprised. I figured they were not full wheel coverings but they do appear to be NOS. It’s been many years, but I remember some caps were remade, available as new stampings. These appear very nice. I would think they would be worth $25 per cap. -
1924 Paige 6-70 Touring Sedan - $50,000
B Jake Moran replied to Leif in Calif's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
I spotted and posted a 1928 Buick Master 6 Sedan in nice condition on the Buick Buy/Sell section for $13,000 that would be a much better proposition than this car at $50,000. This seller will quietly forget he/she has an ad and it will be buried soon on CL anyway. Then CL will ask for another $5 next month. -

I did go down to the Ford Thunderbird subgroup but that last post showed 4-5 months ago. It does not appear to be active enough. I have spotted a 1957 T Bird project on my facebook search. I believe I have read a few posts in the Buy/Sell Not Mine section that states to avoid most 1955-1957 T Bird projects. I did check out the National Club Link down in that subgroup, and it appears robust. I would expect 55-57 T Birds to have good parts catalog support. I don't really want to post photos of the car, because it is in bad shape visually and most members will tell me to pass, which I likely will. But it keeps coming up in my searches. Is there a member or two on the forum that is knowledgeable about this era of T Birds?

I did not know a person could get a full console set up in 1961, for Oldsmobile, Pontiac etc. Never seen it, and may not be original, but it appears to be Oldsmobile. I saw a 1963 98 2 door hardtop Oldsmobile in a Missouri salvage yard that had this set up, with console mounted vacuum gauge or tach. But never 1961.
