  1. Not the color but, a roof that will appear on 58 Chevrolet and Pontiac, sweep cut fender styling with "factory" stainless wheelhouse molding = no skirts perfect! It's my favorite G.M. car for 57.
  2. Do you remember when the Snap-On guy would give out the stickers for your rollaway that said " I make my living with Snap-On tools, please don't ask to borrow them"?

  4. Adding a four-door version again in the Gen. 5 in 1989, however those cars and the ones to follow weren't really Pontiac's IMO.
  5. Called "American Factory" But first! know the people who made the film including the production company and who owns it.
  6. My newest vehicle that I bought new is a 2019 NISSAN 4.1 DOHC six Frontier 4 dr. pick up. It was designed in La Jolla Ca. The foundry for the engine is in Decherd Tennessee, the truck built in Smyrna Tennessee. The vehicle has more U.S. content than Ford or Chevrolet trucks. What troubles me the most is trouble on the horizon. We are not at war with Japan or Germany anymore. We insisted on building those countries into a democracy and have done so-starting 77years ago! and yet here we have G.M. going off to China (and taking most of its engineering with it) to do business and product/engineering sharing at a time when China is racing full speed ahead at world dominance. What will we do when they go after Taiwan? Our response will be our and the rest of the world's future. This confrontation is coming sooner than you think. I think we should be focusing somewhere else rather than the distant past. Learn from it (that's why we rebuilt those two countries, we remember what happened after WW1 with Germany when we didn't) but remember there is no future in a memory but there is wisdom. Be prepared.
  7. Engine resurrection: Buick Straight 8 rebuild time-lapse
  8. Some people are getting confused between Pink, Coral and purple.
  9. This is another SO car. Special order cars have a SO tag next attached next to the data tag. This particular car was Harly Earl's wife's car, a 1959 Pontiac Catalina with Bonneville / Star Chief rear taillights and a Bonneville interior. She probably wanted a Catalina because they were 7" shorter (all in the trunk) than Star Chief and Bonneville and probably easier to maneuver and park. Note; 1959 Bonneville and Star Chief would not fit in many garages of even relatively new homes of the 50's. My SO Catalina just fit (with the garage door closed) my parents garage, a Bonneville would have never made it.
  10. Not listed on any of the Streetside Classics locations.
  11. If you really wanted to protect the wood and wanted a deep look to it. I would do what we did to surfboards just right after WW2 when they were still made of wood. The availability of surfboard resin " Coating and laminating resin" really helped preserve wood. Also, the availability of fiberglass cloth in different Oz. thickness even further adds to durability and strength.
  12. Maybe you do and this is an advertisement in England;
  13. To make you think you can get in. St. Peter is standing there with his hand behind his back holding a needle.
  14. No plow, no 1/2 tracks, no sleds. Just a car that will do the job even on the coldest days with a six volt electrical system and in one of the coldest places in the world....The Antarctic
  15. Hadn't thought about that. I was thinking about going around the curves and hanging out over the edge. Two years later they got a new PONTIAC
  16. I'll bet that Dodge has an easier time than Ricky and Lucy did with this Merc!
