  1. I have been fortunate and none of mine have had and issue sitting and then not starting due to battery being dead.
  2. That storage is sure going to eat into your gain, $4000 in 3 years. Let’s see some pics of these gems
  3. All depends on the car, mileage and condition

  5. I have had several cars over the years that even when newer you could hear them going up and down through the radio
  6. Not mentioned but if the Reatta was considered a failure due to unit sales, the failure was in the marketing figures thinking that a $25-$35 thousand dollar Buick 2 seater was going to sell in large numbers. That market is small to begin with at a time when there was Allante, Corvette, and the TC in American offerings and more from foreign soil. If they wanted big sales it should not have been marketed as Buick's halo car and top offering and should have been priced and slotted at a lower level. It was probably a mistake dethroning the Riviera as the halo car.
  7. You're just hilarious B Jake(I can think of other descriptions as well), but you have to buy quality cars to expect them to be desirable in 5 years, not the type of cars you typically buy. As you are intentionally ignoring, I always say that the cars need to be exceptional or high quality examples, the rest are drivers and parts cars(like your cars).
  8. I think CL as a whole as dropped in volume and useage, as mentioned the fee is a turnoff to people as well. Oddly for some reason, people feel safer with FB marketplace than with CL, maybe it's a similar mindset that people you don't know personally but are friends on FB people feel comfortable pouring their life out to. I think all the dealers flooding CL turned people off as well, but I see that happening of FB marketplace now as well and of course FB is arms wide open to it.
  9. I’ve never replaced one after multiple Reatta s and tons of miles ( knock by on wood)
  10. I had to replace a headlight switch once(90), the fog light button went bad
  11. I think you forgot about the post I did a couple months ago of several Reatta’s that had brought really excellent money, and there have been more since and of course more before that. Your driftwood Reatta was a nice Reata but it wasn’t an exceptional Reatta and driftwood is not a popular color and usually falls flat. Not sure if you are on the reatta FB groups but have seen strong sales and purchases on there, and a regular flow of people asking and looking to purchase Reatta's. Let's face it Jake, there could be 100 go in a row for good money and you would still be the naysayer
  12. Just another one in a long list the last several months that prove the naysayers wrong
  13. Nice clean example, looks to well equipped. One owner car is nice to have as well. The adding of the sports mirrors is unfortunate. Fair starting price or at least not some pie in the ski it’s not for sale number
  14. Jack, I looked at your eBay auction, if it doesn't sell may a suggest a good detail and decent pictures. Looks like you have a very nice car but no one can tell. A little advice from someone that has sold over 50 personal collector cars out of my collection over the years.
  15. Of course you’re going to disagree with my statement, you always do, I don’t know what shows your going to but I’ve seen dozens and dozens of four-door street rods of all makes, now major customs they tend to favor coupes but even those it’s not uncommon to set 4 doors. Or you can read the description of a street ride, broaden your knowledgehttps://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiHhZnF_vLsAhWko1kKHYsrC2YQFjAJegQIBhAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rodauthority.com%2Ffeatures%2Fask-the-experts%2Fask-the-experts-what-is-a-street-rod%2F&usg=AOvVaw1hHJmAqq8tHodpC6ZV1LEk
  16. He better hope it gets struck by lightning and gets to collect the $2Ok it’s insured for cause that’s more than twice what it’s worth

    Blower

Took the car on a little outing today and when I shut it off the blower motor kept blowing. I just flipped my battery cutoff while I did what I needed to do. When I got home and put it away, same thing. Tried cycling the on/off on unit, turned key on and off again but ended up having to do the battery cutoff again. Thoughts ?
  19. when you put your top up and push down on the two rear pins to lock the rear down is the rear gasket making good contact with the tonneau cover? I have seen some have a bit of a gap which would leave water in, that can be adjusted to make it a tighter fit
