  1. Seller says it runs good and has new wiring, etc. Pick it up for $5K, run it until body parts start falling off, then part it out. I think the Fords of that era are better-looking cars, though.
  2. Aside from the price, that water stain/mold on the headliner isn't a good sign. That area is damp, basically 55F summer or winter. Whatever the price, it'd need a good looking-over. And a good whiff of the interior.
  3. There used to be a dealer in that area named Tom Watling. I wonder if it's his inventory being liquidated. Agree, running or not, it's a suspiciously low asking price.
  4. Sharp car, but for $40K, it better be the best one in the universe and then some.
  5. Sharp! Good asking price, too. Thanks for posting, Pete.
  6. Clean car, but for $28K, everything should already be fixed. Factory color combo?
  7. Looks like an overpriced parts car to me. I'm not that up on Packard values, but I'm guessing a nice 120, even in this body style, doesn't go for a gazillion dollars. Which is what restoring this thing would cost.
  8. Better to wait for the seller to get title, and since it's on a trailer already, haul to DMV for the VIN check. It might take longer than the seller suspects to get the title transferred. Neat little car, and good asking price.
  9. The odometer looks like it reads 6458 and seven tenths. For me, that means either 6458.7, or 6458.7 plus 100K or a multiple of 100K, or the seller's getting creative. The body's in pretty good shape for an Alaska car, and a good asking price depending on what the actual mileage is. I wish I had a photo of the last rental car I drove up there.
  10. Sharp car. From the look of it, I expected something wild under the hood. Still a fun driver.
  11. Wow. Patina overload. In a good way. Get it running, reupholster the seats, and go. But not on the freeway.
  12. Spend a boatload of money and end up with an ungainly car with no room for the driver. Sign me up!
  13. The only hope for this car would be if the family kept working on it, but they just want it to go away. I'm betting the V-12 sells separately, and the car ends up a big GM engine and a seriously non-factory paint job. I've never seen the back end of one of these without the spare. Beyond strange.
  14. I checked my "LaSalle: Cadillac's Companion Car", and the factory photos of the dash and window garnishes show them painted, not body color, so this car's dash may be correct. Agree, the upholstery pattern isn't anything like original (original seems to be plain leather with a horizontal pad at the top of the backrest and front of the seat), but also agree it'd be a great driver.
  15. Boonville's warm and dry, not to mention remote. This car wouldn't make sense even if you lived there.
  16. Sharp! Brown isn't my favorite, and I don't recall seeing wood door garnishes (with crooked emblems) before, but looks like a nice driver at a reasonable asking price.
  17. A 318 engine? Like, as in Mopar? I can see a stock dash peeking out from under the tuck 'n roll, but there isn't much else inside that looks familiar. I'm usually OK with restomods, but I like Crown Vics just as they are.
  18. I was thinking it had hydraulics. Or small tires? Not a fan of this era Mopar, but this is special.
  19. Nice clean car. $21K is a lot for a sedan, but there’s always a premium for Cadillacs.
  20. I thought it WAS a vinyl top until I saw the photos on a bigger screen. It'd look better if it was, IMHO. Nice car, lose the fender skirts. '65/'66 LTD's are great-looking sedans.
  21. Makes me feel better about some of my old car projects. The body's nice, but I don't see anyone rushing to rebody their sedan as a sedan. Unfortunate someone invested $35K in cosmetics, as it's worth maybe a tenth of that in its current state.
