  1. Extremely tall photo-taker? My photos tend to look like that, but not to that extent. I prefer '65 Valiants to Barracudas, but this one looks pretty good, and the price doesn't seem too bad.
  2. Thanks for the update, Fin Seeker. Sharp car, but $20K is a big ask for a four-door with unknown brake issues and broken AC. If they were easy fixes, dealer likely would've fixed them.
  3. Sell the "cool wheels" and make it an even better deal. Hopefully the seller kept the originals.
  4. Nice. Clean car with a useful and not too obvious “upgrade”.
  5. Not enough miles on it. I’d be afraid to drive it.
  6. Nice. I like the colors. Reasonable price, considering it's being sold through a dealer.
  7. Sharp body style and it looks good in black, but it's hard to get past the interior, especially the seat covers. And what's with the pillows on the back seat? Money would've been better spent on fuzzy dice or a foot-shaped gas pedal.
  8. Looks like the owner was already going in that direction. New baby? Divorce?
  9. I didn't know Chevy sedans were in such demand. $24K? Clean car, though. The tires probably need replacing, anyway. Powdercoat comes in lots of colors that aren't yellow.
  10. Sharp truck, and I think a good asking price. If I bought another old pickup, it'd be one of these. Seat cushion upholstery looks like something I'd do (OK in concept, lacking in execution).
  11. Maybe a closed "A" seems more secure at high speeds? Driving my '30 roadster, I felt like I was living on the edge doing 50.
  12. I like the updates on the '40. Except the skirts. Gee, I wonder when the '31 was restored..... Agree that asking prices are aspirational.
  13. Looks like someone took a bad approach angle to the garage. I did something similar when I was on a driver's permit. We had a garage with two narrow bays. $6200 for a running station wagon sounds good to me.
  14. Sharp! Good color, too, although not sure if it's factory. Seats aren't original fabric, but at least they aren't cathouse-red velour.
  15. Sharp car, good asking price. I bet it just needs to be cleaned up, the usual fuel system stuff, and off you go. Not sure what you'd call that boring dash. Mid-century modern?
  16. Sharp little cars, and this one's at a great asking price. I was at the DMV once getting a Model A registered, and someone walked up and offered to trade a '55 TBird with a bad tranny for it. Definitely regret passing on that trade. I did read that they have something like 32 inches of headroom, though. If I didn't have a head I'd be a perfect fit.
  17. If someone wanted an "A" that could be driven cross-country, this might be your car. I have no idea what all of the "improvements" cost, but I bet the total's at or over the asking price. It would look a lot better with 19" rims and blackwalls, though.
  18. LaSalle was painting dashes/window garnishes, rather than woodgraining, at least as early as 1935. Maybe to differentiate it from Cadillac, which had a similar interior in other respects. Sorry to hear of seller Duncan's experience with the prospective buyer. Being able to drive a stick shift is hardly a universal skill nowadays.
  19. The painted bumpers look cheesy and dated. I seriously doubt they came that way from the factory, and if they did, they'd be white. I had a '65 Ranchero with the 200 six and stick, and considering car's light weight, it's a "sporty" setup.
  20. Looks like an honest "A" you could just detail and drive at a fair asking price. Thanks for posting.
  21. Color is called Corot Beige. Wheels should be Bugatti Red, a dark brick red that almost looks brown. And of course, they should be pinstriped. Pretty sure the lack of engine photos means something, too. Judging from the other liberties taken, I'm guessing the "restoration" was limited to what's immediately visible. I bet that rumble's never been sat in. You'd need to be an acrobat to get into it. Assuming original wiring and a grungy engine bay, maybe a little more than half the asking?
  22. No idea on value, but an interesting project for somebody. Studebakers of that era had plenty of style. Looks like someone's already semi-converted it to an RV (or something). A lot of metal to motivate for that little 6 cyl motor, though.
