I have been here at Rhinebeck for 2 1/2 days now.... Friday, it drizzled from 10:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M..... Never more than light precipitation... Not brutal.... All the Early birds were there, a decent Friday attendance.... Yesterday / Saturday was a little cold and raw / hoodies, sweatshirts, and jackets never came off all day --- a little too chilly for that.... There was --- Absolutely NOT a drop of precipitation--- people that drove here from the south drove through rain, but once here, ONLY DRY all day..... Today / Sunday / Mother's Day --- promises to be the best weather day of all three.... warming up nicely now... sun is poking through the clouds, 100 % dry and could hit short sleeve shirt weather by 11:00 A.M. to Noon and later.... Over 90 % of the vendors are still here.... C'Mon Down... Bring Mom, or make Mom wait.... the cars will be rolling into the car show field in 20 minutes --- at the end of my aisle --- G G B 24 - 25 (Green Field).... sit on the benches and watch them roll in... I would bet that the car show field will be full and overflowing.... See ya' here.... Craig.....

On a 1936 Plymouth, there is a roughly 3 " x 3 " x 3 " Black Box on top of the Generator, he tells me, with an Autolite tag --- T D 4301 A and next to it, the # 4 0058272..... I always stay for Saturday --- and it is usually a good day for sales. I had to stay , because two people were picking up their orders Saturday --- and they did --- during the light rain / drizzle Saturday morning from 8:45 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. --- that made me 13 for 13 at the show !!! YES !!! No " plan b 's " necessary.... Then, sales were still strong through the afternoon until about 3:00 P.M. so I started packing, when I wasn't servicing someone.... At 4:52 P.M., I had a sale to a gentleman with a 1963 Corvette --- it came to $ 211 -- so, I said, you can round that out to $ 200... He said " Thank You " and whipped out two $ 100 bills.... I got 50 % packed (until 8:00 P.M. Saturday), went to get lunch, and finished packing this morning.... finished packing from 8:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. I went to the Carlisle office and handed them $ 540 for Ag Hall in Allentown, Jan. 2023, Carlisle Expo Center in Jan. 2023, and Spring Carlisle 2023 --- spots are now $ 115, with the extra discount for paying before you leave.... (due in 90 days, anyway, at full price).... I am at the last rest stop in New Jersey, resting my eyes, for 10 minutes, before I make the last part of the journey.... I might beat midnight.... I don't care.... I make it home when I do.... Oh well.... By the way, today was absolutely PERFECT weather at Carlisle !!! (I had 1 sale for $ 6 while I was packing !!! I stopped to serve 12 - 15 people who wandered through....some others passed by, and didn't stop.... I wasn't reaching out to them.... I kept packing, at this point....) I would rate Spring Carlisle a solid " A " .... if people bought what THEY SAID they wanted, it could have been an " A + " ......

With that face now, Peter, You can NOT be my television spokesman..... And , others have said (not me), that you have a face made for Radio !!! LOL...

Joe l j , That WAS the Starfire I saw --- I saw it from 40 feet while it was on a flatbed, so I only saw it for about 14 seconds, but a 1962 Olds Starfire will make me warm and fuzzy anytime !!! And there were some times this week at Spring ? Carlisle, that we --- needed--- warm and fuzzy !!! Friday was Gorgeous, and packing up today / Sunday was gorgeous.... A lot of the rest, not so much 😴 .......

GREAT JOB, as always, CutlasGuy, I think many of us appreciate your picture taking and treating us to a sense of what the show is all about !!!!. I am locked into my spot, don't walk too well, and can't get around to see all of that...'I definitely appreciate your efforts..... I am by the curve where the cars came in, and I did see a luscious 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire coming in on a flatbed, but maybe it was sold before you snapped the shots..... Loved the photo of the people in the aisle, Carlisle had to be doing cartwheels !!! Because the Friday crowd, we all felt, had to be the largest attended show in 10 years,.... Many patrons were buying, and 3 vendors I know, set their all time single day record for $ sales, any day, any show, ever !!! As I sit here in the van, to finish packing in the morning, I am physically drained, I worked 1000 hours this week.... But, I serviced some Great people, made a lot of guys very happy with parts they prayed they would find, and I had them, And saw hundreds of friends all show long.... that is when you know LIFE is GOOD .......

Hey Joe P., Hope you are doing well.... yesterday certainly was far better weather, we all agreed, probably you as well, that yesterday was Carlisle's highest attended foot traffic shows in 10 years.... I had my best financially strong day here at Carlisle in 10 years, and I know of 3 vendors who had their highest single day of a show yesterday of any show anywhere single day record !!! Upon waking up, I just got a notification from Mechanicsburg boy that he is now TAKING OFFERS on his $ 250 + $ 30 shipping Turn Signal Switch!!! If you truly want to wait, until after your French trip, and the rest of the summer, I CAN just simply hand it to you at Fall Carlisle with the $ 15 rebate on shipping and insurance --- and make that $ 0.... (And, then, if you wind up Needing it faster, I will ship.... It is up to you.... Have another great day at Spring Carlisle today, and Un Bon Temps a la Paris, etc...
