  1. Actually, Napa which stands for “ Never American Parts Available “ will NOT have Right Handed Studs —- and CAN NOT POSSIBLY have LEFT HANDED Studs…. You will need to call Craig @ 516 - 485 - 193five…..
  2. Try www.forabodiesonly.com Thousands there, a dozen here….
  3. Haven't heard from him either --- maybe the car is now a flower pot.....

  7. Hey guys, Glad to see those of you who made it had a good time… I am just sitting down outside to eat lunch —- and it is starting to get a little chilly now… Today’s weather couldn’t have been any better, if you ordered perfection !!! I saw a lot of cars rolling in all morning to get onto the car show field —- and tomorrow is the bigger day of the car show —- jeez, they may run out of room up there… From my spot, I have a bird’s eye view of the entrance, such that I keep my eyes focused that way , especially if I am not serving anyone that moment with parts…. The buying was not strong today —- most vendors are calling it “ fair “ or “ mediocre , especially considering the perfect weather… I would actually rate it “ sub par “ , particularly given the fantastic circumstances… I did have two vendor friends I just spoke to who labeled it “ Good “ … I had one guy grab 2 Ball Joint Boots @ $ 5.00 each, 2 Tie Rod Boots @ & 4.00 each , for a total of $ 18.00 —- and he put them back ( in the wrong spot ) because he said, ” That’s too rich for my blood. “ ( Oh well … ) I guess he isn’t a CEO of a big Manhattan Corporation !!! Tomorrow is supposed to be drop dead gorgeous again —- come on up, come on down, but come —- the vendor spots are full —- I did see one pull out tonight, but only one…. The “ r word “ is not supposed to happen until 8 : 00 P.M. tomorrow, and by then, we will all be long out of here… Most will be home, already ( Not me, I will wait out traffic back to Long Island on a Sunday night at the Sloatsburg Rest Area…. And get back at 11 : 00 / 11 : 30 tomorrow night…. yours, Craig….
  8. Tire Found On Road Dead……
  9. Just passed 7:00 P.M. — sitting in the van to have lunch —- it is actually a bit chilly outside ( tablet says 59 — challenge… ) very comfortable all day — 69 degrees ish —- 3 to 5 mph breeze , more of the same all weekend expected… The E bay boys were all over this place today, and the junk hunters…. My next door neighbor sells junk —- and he took in over $ 1000 today —- he is already happy…. ( I have GOLD and Important Merchandise —- and took in $ 400 !!! ( some things just make no sense in life !!! ) ) My neighbor asked one E Bay boy ( he doesn’t know who they are ) “ what are you looking for ? “ He answered Carburetors and Intake Manifolds “ as if to say, ” I buy things for $ 20 that I can put on E Bay tonight for $ 250 “ ( Needless to say, he bought —— NOTHING …. ) Come on up , come on down, this place is full of vendors…. And tomorrow, the cars will be driving in….. yours, Craig…..
  10. Steve Braverman (and others ) , I took Cross Island to the Throgs Neck, up 95 to Exit 21 (just past Rye) to pick up the 12 mile road to bring you to the Tappan Zee Bridge…. Straight up 87 / New York Thruway to Exit 19 Kingston to the Rhinecliff Bridge…. two rights and you’re here…. Probably the most direct route to get here…. All the paving was on different spots on the 87 / New York Thruway…. yours, Craig……
  11. Hey all, I just arrived here in Rhinebeck… took me 2 : 54 from the beginning of Long Island… A lot of road paving —- North and South —- a lot of 2 lanes down to 1 —- wasn’t really an issue leaving just shy of 9:00 P.M. and getting here by midnight…. I can see that being more of an issue during the day —- give yourself some extra time… (And top off your Antifreeze / Coolant…) Craig…. ( Except you, Mr. Corvair !!! —- No coolant for you… )
  12. Emtee, A Gold 1967 Buick Riviera ...... You undoubtedly know my friend Mark , who also has a Gold 1967 RIV --- and another 5 RIVS and a few more toys... He is always at Rhinebeck, but I don't know yet which car he is bringing this year.... Craig.....
  13. I might be able to provide you a set of *** N.O.S. *** U.S.A. made *** set of Main Bearings, Connecting Rod Bearings, if you need or want…and much more…. Always best to simply call me —- 516 - 485 - 193five…..Craig…… New York …..
  14. I am leaving for Rhinebeck tomorrow…. I am on the side of the horticulture building —- on the “ spoke of the wheel “ road where the cars enter to go onto the show field… A lot of people sit on the benches in my row on Saturday and Sunday mornings to watch the cars entrance on to the field… it has been a good show for a lot of years —- and the only real car show and swap meet, up in that neck of the world… Only once a year, first full weekend in May, this year is Friday, May 5th ( Cinquo de Mayo ) through Sunday, May 7th…. Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck, New York…. come on down, come on up —- It is the Carlisle of that area…. yours, Craig ….
  15. Terry Bond, There ARE 684 “ Harbor Freight Replicas” out there —- but you simply buzz by all those stands, and get to the Meat and Potatoes… And there I S a lot of Meat out there…. ” Swap Meat “ …. yours, Craig….. IL 80 - 82 in the fall , plenty of Steak for everyone….
  16. Nice Job, CutlasGuy , as you always do, giving us a nice feel for what is there at Carlisle… Thanxxx again….. yours, Craig…
  17. KRK Sr. , No B M W Isetta ?? No Corvair ?? Maybe even a Pinto ??
  18. First Raindrops came at 1 : 38 P.M. —- and N O drisel, direct to Rain…. It is now 2:09 P.M. , and it has already been HEAVY and Continuous for 20 minutes…. Supposed to continue until 10:00 P.M. tonight…. Any patron who was still here is now Gone, and there is a Long, Long Line to get out of Carlisle…. I am positive that Route 11 / Carlisle Pike is crawling along … I will find out how it is doing later…. Reporting to you Live from Carlisle, Pa., Yours, Craig……
  19. At 11 : 09, I am fully packed … My friend’s kid came up early, on request, with my phone call to him that I was ready—- and now I can breathe easily, because everything is in and dry… A couple people came to my door here ( I am sitting here in the van, now) with the FREE Carlisle Book / Program —- and asked me questions, and that is Fine !!! That is why I am sitting right on my spot…. Wind has picked up ferociously—- 15 to 20 mph sustained, gusts to 30 to 35…. The r event will be at anytime after 1 : 00 P.M. until 10 : 00 P.M., with a possible 2 “ expected…. Gonna be nasty…. (It’s Carlisle) There are a lot of people here today —- not quite like Thursday and Friday —- but still these aisles are pretty full…. Of course, at this point, I would say 1 in 30 or 1 in 40, is carrying something….
  20. As we wind down here at Carlisle —- I spoke to about 10 vendors I know and talk to all the time, and at this point, every one of those 10 are at “ decent “ or better… Nobody is disappointed, nobody is under the “ B - “ with some “ A s “ sprinkled in… I would say, about a “ B “, for me…. The sad part is, of course, Mother Nature will be intervening tomorrow and ending the show prematurely…. And for me, with my “ medical situation “ , I have my friend’s kid hired to load my van, and he has an 11:30 to 1:00 and a 1:00 to 2:00 already, so I have him from 10:30 to 11:30….. so I have a real short day tomorrow…. I have no choice, though….. Well, there’s always Rhinebeck in 1 3/4 weeks !!! yours, Craig….
  21. pkhammer, Those truly ARE Incredible finds for Carlisle —- and, hopefully you got a sweet deal on them, because as we all know, sometimes items like that can be priced to the sky at HERSHEY…. I would have bet a pretty penny that one could never find those at Carlisle !!! ( and lost the bet, too ….) Today’s crowd, like yesterday, was packed… that picture of the aisle was typical of a lot of the aisles… And like yesterday, 80 % of the people walk down the aisles, and never turn their head to the left or the right, to even SEE where the vendors are !!! I “ Roped “ a bunch of people in, if they were wearing appropriate clothing —- a gent with a 50’s Pontiac shirt —- “ Mr. Pontiac, get over here” —- he came immediately… A young couple wearing DeSoto shirts, who were here for their first visit; they just bought a 1960 Firedome —- and were actually coming to see me ( they checked the FREE Carlisle Book —- and saw that I am the go to DeSoto guy…. ) They didn’t buy anything —- they didn’t have to —- we chatted for 15 minutes —- and now they have my information…. Playing WIN WIN games are the best…. This is about having fun, making contacts, becoming friends, and for me personally, after the trials and tribulations I have been through these last 8 months —- it sure has been great to get 1000 well wishers’ handshakes, hugs, prayers, kind comments, and kisses ( from about 10 women —- some are wives, girlfriends; and we have been friends, too…) Just sitting down to have lunch… what the heck, it is 7 : 30 P.M.—- Absolutely PERFECT weather these last two days…. not too hot, a small breeze, GLORIOUS !!! For those who didn’t make it, Wish you were here… If you are coming Saturday —- make it bright and early —- the precipitation event ( I don’t use the r word ) is slated for any time after 1 : 00 P.M. God Bless Everybody…. Yours, Craig…..
  22. TAKerry, You are so close —- you should come down, even in the fall …. Carlisle has 95 acres, and, as Joe P. Points out above , you have a far far better chance of finding Trans Am parts here, rather than at HERSHEY…. I don’t require you to buy Anything from me —- that’s fine —- but it pays to feast your eyes on my glorious spread, and have my card and flyer, such that you have my phone number handy, and you can call me whenever you need or want…. and by saying “ hello “ , we can put our names and faces together… always good in life to have more friends…… especially since I didn’t die 8 months ago….. yours, Craig….
  23. Yachtflame, Carlisle will not be for you —- HERSHEY is the deal…. Carlisle is basically 1950s through the 1980s & 1990s even… I had a few guys these last few days with a 1936 Buick, 1937 Plymouth, 1940 Buick, and 1940 DeSoto, and one set of brothers with a 1934 Dodge looking for body parts —- and I told them that Plan C ( only because they would like to find them in the next 5 months ) was HERSHEY, and to look for vendors flying the “ Dodge Brothers “ Flags… Carlisle today was indeed, just absolutely perfect weather…. The aisles were very full, and Carlisle has to be extremely ecstatic with the total gate admission!!! Vendors I spoke to at days’ end varied from “ Mediocre “ to “ Best Carlisle ever, and we still have tomorrow !!! “ My sales were strong, an above average day, but fell short of spectacular…. And, we still have tomorrow…. Time to go to bed …. Until tomorrow…. Yours, Craig….
  24. Well, there will be all kinds of opinions about today at Spring Carlisle…. vendors I spoke to in the last hour ranged anywhere from Mediocre to Maybe the best Carlisle I ever had, and we still have tomorrow…. For those of you who are planning on coming Saturday, beware… the precipitation event —- listed at 100 % , not even 98 % —- could begin anytime between 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. Tomorrow is the day to get down here…. Today, I thought this place was packed to the max —- but only a small percentage of people were buying… I had an above average day, but less than spectacular, for sure.. Absolutely 80 % of the people bought positively nothing —- they were strolling through the park —- and if you can figure out why they would spend gas , possibly tolls, parking, gate admission , all that time , to just simply tell their friends, ” Yeah, I went to Carlisle…. “ , you know more than I do !!! Gotta run —- time for lunch—- see ya’ tomorrow @ I I 118 - 119, yours, Craig….
