2:5 turns on the pinion to 1 turn on the drum. 2:55. Does that sound right? I do not know the '71-73 Rivs that well.

looks like it is from a four door. I may be wrong without the regulator in my hands but that is what I am seeing.

You can make the '55-56 work with modification. Not hard. What can work correctly is convertible only. Buick Special/Century and Olds 88,Super 88 and 98. Push come to shove you can take hardtop versions and cut them down to work. You will need a convertible version for a pattern.

Hollander does not interchange regulators in the early/mid 50's editions. The regulators are '54 only.

My brother has done high end restorations the last 25 years winning national awards consistently. He advises me $100,000 +/-. His shop rate however is lower than many big city shops.
