I am not sure if this has been mentioned already. I just stumbled across a site that has what appears to be the complete 1961-1972 Buick car parts catalogs and the illustration catalogs: Wild About Cars; The website of the Automotive Preservation Society Wild About Cars Online Buick specific section: http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-bin/pub9990334158924.cgi?categoryid=9990334161791 The links text state these manuals are for 1940 - 1972 model years but they really appear to cover only 1961 to 1972 model years. For me it's like hitting a parts book bonanza! I would recommend making this URL a pinned forum topic for future reference

Randy, I installed new rubber boots on my actuators this weekend. They don't include the "seal" at the top. (it appears none for sale do). I have a partial seal left on the driver side actuator from the old boot and someone put a rubber hole grommet in the passenger side actuator boot, which I kept with the new boot (its better than nothing). As a result, the cup part of the top of my actuators have accumulated rust and dirt because the boots don't seal out water and debris. Can you provide a close up photo of the top of a stock actuator boot so I can see what the seal looks like? Is it built into the stock boot or is it a separate rubber sleeve that snaps into the boot top? Thanks in advance.

Good to know but I would not buy anything from seller CarID. Their feedback rating sucks.

What is recommended for SS and chrome for removing light scratches? -

Is this safe for chrome plated Rallye wheels and stainless steel trim also? -
This is not my '65 Riviera but it was at the swap meet I attended today. It has some surface rust on the upper surfaces but it felt like the owner had waxed over it to preserve the look. 16" American Racing Rallye style two piece wheels

Wow, that's a big horn!

www.carcovers.com sells excellent car covers, in my opinion.

I am not sure if this has already been discussed but there is an Australian TV drama called "A Place to Call Home" that features several right hand drive GM, Ford and Holden vehicles. Foremost among them, in my opinion is the RHD 1947(?) Buick Super convertible driven by one of the primary actors. I don't know anything about these cars to say if it is an authentic Buick with options that would have existed in the early 1950's when this series is set, but it is a gorgeous car, none-the-less. There is also a late '40's RHD Chevrolet 1420 flat bed truck and several Holden models and several of the "Ute" car/truck vehicles that have been more popular in Australia much earlier than they were here in the US. The picture below is the best I could find online of the Buick from the show. These pictures are from the International Movie Car Database site (www.imcdb.org) 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Utility

Paul, Thanks for the feedback. I need a new gasket on my '69 Caprice. I just ordered two kits to do both cars. Regards, Mike

I missed that. Thanks.

How would I know which part to order for my air cleaner?

I was thinking the same thing!

Paul, would this seal work in the lid of an air cleaner assembly? As Larry mentioned above, the original lid seals were round in profile. Thoughts?

Have you switched out your old vacuum hoses for new ones? It's possible you have a vaccum leak somewhere between the firewall distribution block and the headlights. You should also change the engine manifold vacuum to fire wall distro block vacuum hose.
