  2. For us to identify each set or individual piece, as suggested, place a numbered card on or next to each set or individual piece and we will list our answers that way.
  3. You're welcome, a carnation pink with white top and white leather interior, air conditioned '56 Sedan de Ville haunts my memory as a car I saw in a junkyard forty-five years ago. Four door hardtops were among the highest production models through the 1960's but attend a show now and one would think they were always rarely seen.
  4. 1951 Kaiser Special two door sedan - $7951 - Not Mine https://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/d/bella-vista-1951-kaiser-special-2-door/7128312069.html 1951 Kaiser Special 2 Door Sedan.Flathead 226CI 6 cylinder engine3 Speed column Shift transmissionHeaterThis original, rare, unmolested Kaiser is in very good condition. I am the 4th registered owner. I purchased it from the son of the second owner. His father purchased it from the original owner in 1969. When my seller inherited it in 1996, he also stored it until I purchased it in June of 2019. The odometer currently reads 46,672 miles.Upgrades since I purchased it include: All new brakes, including Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake hardware, hoses, and Dot 5 Silicone fluid, Rebuilt carburetor, Rebuilt distributor, New 6 volt battery,Fresh coolant with new thermostat, radiator hoses and heater hoses. Rebuilt Vacuum wiper motor, New Dual Diaphragm Fuel pump, Seat Belts, Side view mirrors. Fresh oil & filter. Owners Manual. Shop Manual. Reupholstered side panels on doors and back seat area.I am reluctantly selling this vehicle because I can no longer perform the necessary maintenance that an older vehicle requires. It runs very good, has decent radial tires, and a fair repaint from the 60's. It is very presentable. Please call for additional information, or to schedule an appointment to see it. I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1951 Kaiser Special two door sedan.
  5. But A.J. it had "fine Corinthian leather" what else could you ask...
  6. The air intake scoops on the rear quarters indicate the Cadillac was equipped with factory air conditioning originally. The seller does specify whether the system is still in place or functional.
  7. 1956 Cadillac 62 Sedan de Ville, A/C - $22,000 - Not Mine https://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/d/east-randolph-1956-cadillac/7137250905.html 1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Series 62. We brought this vehicle back from Arizona in 2003, and we had it restored in 2005. We drive it just enough to keep things moving, and it's been fun to use around town, or ride in a parade or enter in a car show. All of the chrome plating was redone and body and paint are in great shape. Runs well and needs nothing. I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1956 Cadillac 62 Sedan de Ville.
  8. 1975 Chrysler Cordoba - fine Corinthian leather - $5500 - Not Mine https://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/d/rochester-1975-chrysler-crdoba/7131358757.html ASKING PRICE IS $5500 which is low for the age, Miles, and condition of this vehicle. Come take a look, drive and appreciate the smooth ride, then make me a reasonable offer.Spending most of its life in Virginia, this 1975 Chrysler Córdoba is in excellent condition for its age. Solid throughout with no rust. One fresh repaint due to Virginia sun fade, nice original interior with Corinthian leather split bench, solid undercarriage, nice chrome, 82,000 Miles, 360 V-8 with automatic transmission. Runs and drives perfect I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1975 Chrysler Cordoba.
  9. For those of us not familiar with the Twin-H Power pros and cons in operation and maintenance, your experiences and perspectives would be appreciated.

  11. Hi Dpcdfan Thanks for the look at your '36 DeSoto Airflow III Series S-2. You should always mention how rare it is too, only 250 two door five passenger coupes built.
  12. In my best Groucho Marx voice "Walt, you just said the secret woid! Perspective! That's what I think is a useful endeavor to impart when a person post a period photo of an expensive car back then. Its likely most have little perspective how relatively expensive certain makes were relative to the general market of available cars and major purchases such as homes for the large society.
  13. Your grandfather must have been a very successful businessman, his 1929 Packard Custom Eight Model 640 five passenger phaeton was $3,175 new. Compare this to the most popular low-priced phaetons, Ford $460; Chevrolet $525; Plymouth $695 that most people would have bought new. His 1929 Packard phaeton is a highly desirable collector car now.
  14. The seller with a run-down, mess of a badly over-priced car who advertises it with the threat that if he doesn't get his inflated price, he'll take it to the crusher. Bets are he's very disappointed when he sees how little he got at the junkyard for it.
  15. Its a 1935 653 or 1936 654 six cylinder convertible sedan, note the relatively shorter hood and fenders.
  16. This one: https://spacecoast.craigslist.org/cto/d/melbourne-46-lincoln/7135855002.html 1946 Continental - Original V12 and 3 Speed Manual. Runs and drives. New Tires and new side pipe Exhaust. Price is firm. Was grandfather's car, have many old pictures and 1980 - 90's restore. Lots of spare parts. I have the original bumpers. Serous inquires only For the price, it should have the correct chrome bumpers and all the lower body and fender trim, looks decent otherwise.
  17. A 1936 Pierce-Arrow Eight convertible sedan that belonged to a Mr. Zappone from Buffalo, N.Y. was among my early education in those cars. He displayed it at many of the shows in the 1970's and 1980's then, one of the few late Pierce-Arrows we in the area had the pleasure to see in the metal.
  18. The closest matches for the body I can find in American Funeral Cars & Ambulances Since 1900 by Thomas A. McPherson are 1933-'34 S & S or Knightstown. Chassis definitely appears to be 1930 or prior. Wire wheels may have been a latter installation, do not appear to have been the choice for professional cars, either artillery or disk appear on almost all.
  19. 1942 Chevy Master Deluxe. This is a unrestored car with 45,000 miles on it. I've owned this car since 1980 when it had about 32,000 miles on it. Everything works on it. I have not had it registered recently, but I have had it out and running. Tires have plenty of tread left, but they are old and should probably be replaced. https://ithaca.craigslist.org/cto/d/newfield-1942-chevy-master-deluxe/7131922863.html I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1942 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. That said, it appears to be a very nicely preserved original car from a relatively low production model year. The patch on both front fenders in the same place is an odd thing.
  20. 1929 Peerless 681 - $22500 Victor, New York - Not Mine "1929 Peerless 681, all original except paint. 38 thousand miles, drives and runs great. No rot, rust or dents. " https://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/d/victor-1929-peerless-681/7132327354.html I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1929 Peerless 6-81 sedan.
  21. Lydia, Your grandfather must have been a wealthy man in those times. The Packard appears to be the new 1912-'13 Six, Series 1-48 or 2-48, also called 'The Dominant Six" as it was there most expensive series. The engine a 525 cu. in. T-Head, 48 hp, 139 in wheelbase. If bought as a complete car as a seven passenger touring, its price was $5,000. If bought as an Imperial Limousine, its price was $6.450. If the Imperial Limousine body was bought separately, good likelihood it was $2,500-$3,000. For comparison during 1912-'13, the Ford Model T was $690, a Buick $1000, a Overland or Maxwell or Hupmobile or Studebaker $900-$1,500, a Hudson $1,600, a Chevrolet Classic Six $2,500
  22. In addition to dealers who offered the services, the chauffeur would be task with changing the bodies as the season warranted, carriage houses were equipped with a hoist designed to lift the body without damage. Seasonally, the body not in use would be sent to the coachbuilder or a reputable body shop for re-varnishing or full repainting plus other repairs if needed. Recall this was the era of laborious brush-applied primers, paints and varnishes which had relatively poor durability when exposed to the elements. Whether the bodies were designed to enable combining the driver's compartment with the rear tonneau will have to be answered by others...Walt?
  23. Here's a better look at the Packard in its summer and winter bodies. When people bought an expensive car such as a Packard, they planned on using it year round. Dealers offered the body swap and storage services to those upscale customers.
