  2. Dean, I think I have what you need. Mine are from a 47 Sedanette. I will have to do some digging to find them in my "filing" system. Matt
  3. I got my package today. Will open tomorrow. Raining and not planning on getting wet to clean/install ashtrays Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Now I wonder how I can clean that smell up when I get it!? Any ideas on cleaning ashtrays of 40 yr old cigarette smell? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I was able to remove most of mine with an air powered needle scaler. It will reach into a lot of the crevices and remove the hard/stuck of stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Matt Don't give up now. You are really close to having a summer full of cruising! Tackle things one at a time. Get the radiator out first and let someone else be fixing it while you work out the brakes and charging issues. Keep your head held high. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I thought this crap was over with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Tonight I pulled her into the garage next to the 47' and proceeded to change out the "accelerator linkage" assembly. Mine was broken at the top. This prevented the transmission from "downshifting" to passing speed. It's a Dynaflow and I know it doesn't change gears like todays automatics, but same outcome having it. WOW! What a difference in performance. I took it out for a spin to pick up some light bulbs for the dash lights and really appreciated the fully funcional rebuilt transmission! I have tons of power and get up and go! Got back home and changed out all of the burnt out bulbs on the dash and now have all of the lights functional! I also tried to figure out how to get my downdraft tube put on. (Thanks Mr. Earl) Gonna have to study it a little more cause it doesn't want to slip in-behind the head and fall into place like I want it to. Oh well! Might get a chance this weekend to try again. Matt
  17. I try to go to any swap meet that is within 3 hours drive or so from me. Over the last 3 years, I have found more parts for my convertibles, up to and including a lead on a car I purchased. Invaluable IMHO and I really love the "touchy/feely" time walking around. Always manage to see some really great cars and meet some really great people. And that my friends, is what this is all about!
  18. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/aos/4308445917.html speechless!!!
  19. They might call about the other convertible soon! I cannot wait to get up there and get the car and visit with you John!
  20. Yeasir officer! But the scrap yard is only over yonder past that there yugo on a stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I was able to go get my girl out of storage this afternoon! Ain't she pretty? Drivers door glass had a small crack that got BIG over the winter. Gonna have to replace that. Might be able to start putting the wiper motor, and kickdown linkage assembly and draft tube on for this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Those are seat covers for the side of a front seat. But, they don't look like the ones on my 56 special. The top one would have had a switch mounted in the rectangular opening for power seat option. Maybe yours had power seats? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hehe. I read fluid drive and thought dynaflow. Buick guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
