  1. The Northeast starter/gen is mounted on the Einz Starter/gen plate. The overriding clutch that mounts in front of the mag is missing only the square it rides on is left. The old system was probably removed because of troubles and required 3 - 6 volt batteries. The original system will break the timing gears if the spark is not retarded. In traffic you will forget to do this and a very intense repair will ensure. White in 1915 mover this starter/gen under the body with a shaft running forward to the Cardin shaft with the same silent chain drive. Do not put a starter on in the original position. White also later used the Northeast system mounted to the engine on the 30hp GK engines. Truck looks great, best of luck, will email with more info.
  2. In the UK you always get your "T" parts from Fords or worked at Lagondas, I guess it is correct in Britan but not in American English.
  3. From Long Island N Y, need circa 1912 engine block cracks welded. Who within a couple hundred miles can weld without heating in oven? Yes it can be done. Need person with experience as block is irreplaceable.
  4. Love those headlights also noticed brackets for oil side lamps altho some early electric side lights used same bracket.
  5. The vehicle in the center with headlights is a White both rad. and fenders are White shaped.
  6. I also have a 1912 Speedwell and the grey car apprently has had the rad core replaced, one must be careful when comparing a circa photo with a restored car, this is why I identified things that can not or would not be replaced. The fire truck is either a 1911 or 1912 Speedwell....
  7. Must the new release of the Brush maybe more than 1 cly.
  8. On Long Island most in towns the inspectors do not see a car that is covered with a carcover or behind a solid fence. One of those temp tent garages should do the trick.
  9. If you sell at the flea mkt you can use your sales tax number to omit the sales tax until you resell the tires. A little double savings.
  10. Steve I should have the studs and nuts and am here on LI spoke to you at Port Jeff Hill Climb. Email me and will look them up.
  11. Post your space number. Will take a look.
  12. On British cars with twin pumps you were instructed to use one and switch every other time and at high speed use both pumps.
  13. Check out, the radiator bottom with the angle ends, the slightly sharper angle on the top sides of the radiator, the shape of the starting crank, the running board support with the frame showing above the side apron, the box at the rear of the runningboad with door to get at the spring grease cups, the headlight socket on outside of frame horn, no name on hubcaps that are of different size front and rear, the timkin front axle with a very little dip in center, and the most noticable is the five spoke steering wheel. If you still don't know, use photoshop to lift the cloth on radiator to expose the Speedwell emblem, it is either a 1911 or 1912 equipped with a 5X5 engine 3 speed transmission and good for more than 60MPH in touring car form. The Speedwell was priced at $2500 to $2900 First time on do not know how to attach photo, do search on Speedwell and you will see all features.
