In 1928, with the new Model 72, Chrysler racers performed admirably in European long-distance competitions.  Along with the 1928 Millie Miglia, additional races included both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and SPA 24 Hours. In total, the 72 Roadster model was entered in 13 races that year with 9 finishes (4 retirements); and was successful in part to the high compression 249/85 HP “Red Head” engine, one of the most powerful of the era.

This car has a current FIVA card

This car was restored to world class standards in the early 70’s. It is a two time National Champion and a consistent award winner. 

 Most recently:

1)  Misslewood Concours, Endicott College, Beverly, Ma.  2016, Chrysler was the featured marque. Won: the Chrysler Imperial Trophy.

2) Boston Cup, Boston Ma.  2016, Won: 1st in American Class Trophy

3)  Greenwich Concours, 2018, Greenwich, Ct.  Won: Award of Speed and Style.

2016 - Received FIVA Passport that allows this car to race in the most important European events including the Mille Miglia.

This car is the street version of these famous race cars and has:

• lnline 6cyl engine

• 2 Stromberg carbs

• Split manifold & headers

• Parabeam headlamps

• Rear mounted spare

Who made those manifolds?

According to the owner KTR Motorsports made the customized manifold as the porcelain Manifold was cracked.
