This is the '31 I was referring to earlier purchased by Midway Chapter member Bill Jones. He is currently having the chrome replated and the paint freshened up with the same colors and motif. I can guarantee you that Bill will be driving this once it's completed. He drives his Studebakers and Packards quite frequently in SDC driving tours and Veteran Motor Car tours. I can hardly wait to ride in it myself - should be a thrill.

I took a transparency of Mike Margerum's Four-Season at Gettysburg at the 1980 International Meet.

Not my best attempt at photography; and the bellows on my ancient Agfa camera was, unknown to me, developing a pinhole that permitted light to flash the exposure.

I believe Mike has given this roadster to his son Ben.

I see Mike Margerum's name there. Is he still with us?

I met him briefly when he visited New Zealand for the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand 50th Anniversary Rally in 1996.

He drove a car borrowed locally - a '37 Dictator I think.

I was part of the organising team for the event - which had over 1,500 entrants.

One of the days was for 'one make' events and I put together a day at my local primary school - which the school made use of as a fund raiser - for the various American 'orphan' makes that otherwise didn't have an event to go to.  We had about 40 Studes there I recall. The only photo I have is this, not very clear, one.

I have always had an interest in Studebakers. My grandparents owned two - a 1917 six and a 1924 Big Six pre WW2.

I have owned a very scruffy GE Dictator sedan since 1990 but was recently able to acquire what I think is the only surviving right hand drive GE Dictator cabriolet. It came with a spare sedan and other parts with which, someday, my sons might restore my other sedan. The photo was taken on the inter island ferry on the way home. The two vehicles and trailers were occupied with the parts.

This thread the re the Four Seasons cars is very interesting. So just how many are there still existing?

One car that lives locally is the Four Season's little brother a Model 54(?) roadster. I wonder how many of them survive. I think this one was imported from the US not too long ago.
