  1. Well that was grass feed tallow,I believe the corn fed is superior LOL
  2. We were at a classic car place a couple of days ago-the owner buys in and sells on- and he seemed to have a fair turnover. We asked who was buying and he said a lot of farmers, for the investment value. It reminded us of this thread. Were we looking at the cars in their shiny high priced sale condition that our grandchildren would be dragging out of barns and scraping the raccoon and mice residue off? He was definitely a salesman, so I am not too sure who was actually getting a deal.
  3. No because there is not a leak letting air into the intake. It is a closed system ,think of a brake booster the engine vacuum causes a low pressure area(vacuum)on one side of the diaphragm and atmospheric (14.7)on the other side allows the booster to move and assist in braking. Same with vacuum advance the low pressure area caused by vacuum on one side allows atmospheric pressure to push the diaphram, which pulls the breaker plate. Remember vacuum only provides a low pressure area that allows atmospheric pressure to do the work.Hope this helps
  4. Just returned from the open house and all I can say is WOW. Tell me what kind of person can fill a dealership with all THEIR car hobby stuff . Now we are not talking a little Chrysler Dealership, but one that at one time had fourteen mechanics working there,so you get the scope of what we’re talking about. This guy is 100 percent gas in the blood stream, way to go.
  5. Looking forward to the open house tomorrow-Saturday. Who’s all going?
  6. Russell is vice president of HCCA phone 757-434-0056 or russell@oldworldlamps.net
  7. To make a gasket like that all you need is a small ball peen hammer and about 3 minutes. I will show you at your open house. Cheers pete
  8. Well, the discussion started because we all know each others user names but have no idea who the person actually is or how close we live to each other. It all gets shrouded in mystery when we could in reality be having fun car meet ups with people not too far away.
  9. There is a Facebook group called the COE compilation group. Maybe you already know of them. Their posts somehow appear in my feed and there is some beautiful stuff. Maybe they could help?
  10. Jim I use automatic trans oil cut with varsol, use enough varsol that when rubbed between your finger and thumb you start to feel the slippery effect of the oil just starts to get lost. Donot use synthetic tranny oil you will end up cutting it with a lot of varsol due to it being very slippery. This is what I have run in our 12 McIntyre multiple disc clutch.
  11. 4 speed on the floor- bench seat- girl at your side- life was good
  12. The 1 and 2 cylinder tour run by the Ohio chapter of the VMCCA is in June and always well worth going on
  13. I bought a hub puller at Hershey that I knew was too small but had enough material to machine out/rethread to the correct size.
  14. Doesn’t Toronto, Ont still have streetcars?
  15. Where else have you looked? It is on the well known auction site but only you know exactly what you want
  16. Hi what are the dimensions and cost. Cheers
  17. Interesting. In all my years of going to swap meets and flea markets I’ve never given much thought to who was the man doing the organizing. I just worry as to whether what is advertised as being there lives up to the expectations and I actually come home with something
  18. Arguing about who is organizing said meet does not really help anyone. People who plan to actually buy and people who plan to actually sell need to decide whether whatever event is arranged is worth supporting.
  19. Donald was great meeting you as well , always nice to put a face to a name. Now if you only had some brass in your inventory to sell! Cheers Pete
  20. You do however get dinged for HST in Ontario and I assume whatever it’s equivalent is in other places.
  21. It is quite easy to install the tires and lock rings just make sure you wrap chains around the wheels to prevent the side ring from coming off when airing up.To balance use balancing beads- look up on U TUBE
