Jyrki
I tried to find if there's anyone else from Europe, but couldn't. Anyway, I'm 35.
Here in Finland, my generation are still into the American iron, but it seems the 30 and younger are into "tuning" or what you call "imports". It's the HIFI system and and the intercooled turbo that makes their blood running. Not mine. I like the sound of a naturally aspirated 8.
Jyrki
ol' yeller
I'm 49. My Skylark is 37 and my Riviera is 33. I too am surprised by the younger age of the ones responding here. I suspect that most of the older owners don't trust the internet. In my chapter of the BCA only a handful have PCs and even fewer have internet access. Hats off to those who have discovered this wonderful source of information.

Guest
I Just turned 39 in July. The car is a 1924 Master 6cyl Model 45. My Grandfather paid 35 dollars for it in 1958. He brought it home in baskets. I took him 4 years to restore it then. I've been restoring it again the last 7 years. The best part is Grampa is still around to watch. I've got pictures of me at 3 years old in the car. Now I've got pictures of my kids in the car. There is nothing like a good parade, the Buick is always a hit! Guest
I just turned 35 last week, & I am a girl! My Dad is 63.It's funny to see people's reactions when my dad & I take our vehicles to cruise-ins! The majority of the time someone will come up and start talking to MY DAD about one of the vehicles. I always can't wait untill my dad tells them "You need to talk to HER, it's her truck/car!" Still working on our 1st Buick, 57 Caballero SWG. Still haven't named her yet!Missy

Guest
Looks like I never replied to this post since it started in July 2002. I probably was waiting until I turned 50 two weeks ago!Attached is a scan of the original Bill of Sale for a 1953 Buick Special 2 door sedan Model 48D purchased new May 1, 1953 which was the first car I rode home in after being born October 3, 1953. R W Burgess
You guys really know how to keep an old thread going. I'm 56 and have never owned a Buick. Looked at a couple. Really like the White '10 or'11 that was in an AutoWeek a few years back. Guess I don't belong on here, but you got me interested. Wayne Burgess
Guest 53and61
Great story and photo, Marc! I was first driven home in a '41 Pontiac, which is long, long gone, but I still have the '53 Special that my parents bought in the Spring of 1953 when I was 9. I believe it cost $2100 and has fewer options than yours did.

Guest 31tudor
There aren't too many of us young guys, but I'm 32. My Model A Sedan is 72, my Chevy Bel-Air is 43, and my Buick Invicta wagon is 41.Speaking of the Invicta, I finally got it timed perfectly (found a vacuum leak that was messing me up) last week. Runs great, and will light up the right rear!
