1978 Chevrolet Camaro LT, not mine.

Recommended Posts

It seems like a fun project going by what the seller says.  This could be a way to get a Camaro cheap with F car prices the way they are nowadays.  But he doesn't mention the state of the auto transmission which I would guess is a turbo 350!

I'm far from being a Camaro expert,

but I see the for-sale ads periodically.

My impression is that virtually every

Camaro for sale, or that has been saved,

is a Z28--and that all the other versions

are harder to find.  Is that accurate?

I'd prefer a non-Z28 for its cleaner design.

Ads like this are a bit of a flag to me-

"Does not run"

"It will run and runs strong" in fact, "it drives like a new car"?

Hmm...

After 5 years anything can go bad.

At that price I would want to drive it - not running maybe half that.

Exactly. The point to my response about them 'loving' the car. They make it sound like it was a favorite car or something and how nice it is, but it has been sitting long enough to look pretty crappy by now. All of these will start right up cars SHOULD be started right up, pulled out, run around the block and washed! May enhance the sale a bit.
