72 electra interior

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm working on a 72 electra and would anyone know where I might find a boneyard that has these cars. I need everything interior.

Ill be driving cross country next week so location doesn't matter.  Heading to the east coast.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I have found the website www.car-part.com

to be useful for not-so-old antique cars.

There, participating junkyards list cars they have.

You can search that website for specific parts,

such as "dashboard."  Some specific searches may

come up empty, but I've found that searching for

a larger part brings more results.  For example, if

you need a cigarette lighter, it's unlikely any junkyard

has itemized that small item;  but if you search for

"fender," and they have the car you need, they will

also have many unitemized parts.  Telephone them

and ask specifically.

All the best to you in your search!

Browse through the junkyard section of this form. Most have photos and phone numbers. It would be wise to call ahead to ensure they  have whatever you might need. There are specialty Buick parts suppliers of all kinds on the Internet, too.

Do your homework first before going on a 3000+ mile trek and coming up empty handed.

It's probably too late now to be of any help for this trip, but joining the Buick Club of America (BCA) gives you access to more resources and knowledgeable people.

Forum members are usually happy to help with questions, but people need to do a little work and research themselves, too. Information is out there, and not difficult to find.

I gave a 72 electra to Cars a few years back for them to sell complete or parts. They gladly took it.

Gary, you might provide a telephone number

or an internet link, since the name "CARS" is

very generic sounding.  I'm sure our owner

will appreciate your reference.

It is that Buick parts dealer in Neshanic, N.J.  I'll see if I can get a website info.
