Terry Harper
A hidden gem in Maine is the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway. Here is a great video of their model T railcar in action. 4
JACK M
What a cool video. Looks quits top heavy on that narrow gauge track. I was wondering what that was hanging down from mid chassis.

1939_Buick
Another Ford Model T rail car in New Zealand https://www.stuff.co.nz/timaru-herald/news/109991693/model-t-ford-railcar-offers-museum-visitors-a-glimpse-into-the-past
wayne sheldon
A friend of mine out here in California has helped with a couple rail museum's restorations of model T railcars. He is a railroad buff as well as model T and model A Fords and a 1916ish Dodge. Just another area of history to go crazy studying. So much fascinating stuff in the history of the automobile!
zepher
Pretty neat stuff. Plenty of cars had been converted to rail cars back in the day. Even though that T rail car might not have a ton of power or go very fast, it sure beats walking!

If you look at the 4 minute mark on the video you will see that it is a jack to turn the car around 180degrees.
PAV8427
Modern track maintenace equiptment uses the same thing. We have built 18000# frames that pick themselves up and turn around. Mind you thats just the frame weight so much more added and really not a hand crank to do it. 1 hour ago, Larry Schramm said: If you look at the 4 minute mark on the video you will see that it is a jack to turn the car around 180degrees.
