MrAG Riv
On the 65 Riv was the factory color of the AC condenser gloss black? Thx. Andrew
TexRiv_63
Most likely semi-gloss black.
telriv
As far as I know & have seen most are the original aluminum color from the factory. Many factors as some could come from the factory painted. Tom T.

60FlatTop
I would try a specialty radiator heat transfer black. Most radiator shops have it. When I had the radiator on my '60 Electra recored we used the transfer paint on the radiator and satin black urethane on the brackets.
NTX5467
ONE thing to consider is how things look "through the grille". IF the condenser is natural aluminum, it would detract from the brightwork of the grille and front of the car. If it is satin black, no such detraction from the beauty of the front of the car. To me, that orientation would be the same for all vehicles. Now, it could well have been that a vendor could not supply the needed black condensers to the assy plant, so some "fill-in stock" was procured from another vendor, out of cycle, and THAT vendor probably supplied what they had, which could have not been painted yet, but the assy line had to keep moving. So natural aluminum condensers were installed for that short run of vehicles. I have never seen an OEM condenser, on a vehicle or in a GM parts box, that was NOT satin black, fwiw. 60FlatTop
The grille really is quite open. Turquoise really shows through. A memory from back in the reassembly days.
