Lycoming Product Badge Emblem - Need Information

I just picked up this Lycoming badge. 2 1/8" diameter, plated and painted steel, appears to be clearcoated front and back. It has a D.L. Auld makers mark but no mounting provision. Real or repro? What was it used on? TIA for any information.

Some Auburns in the 20's,maybe 30's used a Lycoming straight 8 engine,also an International pickup in about the same era used a 4 cyl,and there were probably others. I never saw that emblem used with any of them tho.

I've never seen that badge on any of the Lycoming aircraft engines I've been around. This is the closest I found

Edges are smooth, it actually looks new, or restored.

Thanks for your responses, I agree it may have an aircraft connection. Does anyone know of any online sources that I could access?

A badge like that wouldn't be on an engine. Maybe a cowling, or even a crate.
