Pete Phillips
Not mine, but I could go look at it if someone would pay for my gas--about 2 hrs. away. Looks like it's had a complete mechanical restoration and has much of its original paint, and has a "California top". This is the big one, top of the line in 1927. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/897351274626702?hoisted=false&ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_general&referral_story_type=general&tracking={"qid"%3A"-4914730729812839016"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"36531220207525247"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A36531220207525247%2C\"target_type\"%3A6%2C\"primary_position\"%3A6%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A7389719295531417600%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A501%2C\"value\"%3A0.00034430815130151%2C\"upsell_type\"%3A129%2C\"candidate_retrieval_source_map\"%3A{\"5879782748756027\"%3A801%2C\"5733617270019933\"%3A3002%2C\"6068598326484223\"%3A801%2C\"5860473560681122\"%3A3501%2C\"5823575041090030\"%3A701%2C\"5391902894247182\"%3A701}%2C\"grouping_info\"%3Anull}"%2C"lightning_feed_qid"%3A"-4914780345167886535"%2C"lightning_feed_ranking_signature"%3A"751892273511268352"%2C"ftmd_400706"%3A"111112l"}
kar3516
I have seen this car and while am not knowledgeable regarding early Buicks I would agree that the pictures capture the car well and that the mechanical representations are likely correct. B Jake Moran
Boy that's a tough one. Beautiful car in potential. 1st thing I would do is junk that California top. I hate those. $17,500 seems right, but the rest of the restoration you are probably looking at $50,000 , maybe a little less since there isn't much chrome. I would want to know the mechanical work done was really good and backed by receipts.
Y-JobFan
That's a great color combination it's in, probably my favorite of that era
B Jake Moran
Ad seems down already. Must have sold.
dibarlaw
Inquired about the car back in 2016 when a previous ad was placed. A lot of questions could not be answered at the time. I saved all the ad photos at the time. They also had been selling a 1925-55 which went to Wisconsin. The new owners of the 1925-55 had it at the 2017 BCA national. MrEarl
“The big one” indeed.
dibarlaw
I don't know what the upper light blue green color is that they had on that car. Below is the catolog view. Colors were Courier Brown over Courier cream. The model 1927-25 Standard sport touring was to be Patrol Green (more of an Olive shade) over Patrol Cream. But I have seen the Patrol combo on several 1927 model 54 roadsters. Below my friend's 1927-54 sport roadster with original paint, nickel, top, and upholstery.
