MrEarl
Currently bidding on this for future display in the BS&S, but not sure exactly what I'm bidding on LOL. It appears this an early Buick car clock someone mounted to a stand? https://www.ebay.com/itm/234844625077?hash=item36add498b5:g:94YAAOSwv8Bjs0M-&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkKa3ckblo1H0pwR1gA113lpi6qsKtVqtD3X%2F4B53Cv%2BJ05GDINt7%2FDG7eQTK0cYI1s3E2kWHikwIktcAyhQ1t5uRZg802n2mURM9M2PDzA6fRn6y3FURPzPS6xD2c9DHI1Lcf8gldXezAr%2BYaVc%2FOknqRunBPf5rK6Q9rhQ14L5b8W0cVo6ck1WZnbNFWSR4dg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8D6__uwYQ&autorefresh=true
dibarlaw
Lamar: Looking through all my photos of 1920s Buicks I did not find a match. The size is consistant to what would have gone into the sport tourings/roadsters and broughams. Fuel/oil/amp clusters. But as you pointed out this looks to be a compilation of bits and pieces to fit into the Motometer housing. The paper numeral face may have been from an old Westclock pocket Baby Ben watch.
Grimy
It appears to be a 1934-35 50/60/90 clock, originally mounted in a glove box door, that has in more recent years been set into a Boyce MotoMeter housing, replacing the Boyce thermometer and face. The brass colored base may be a lamp part. An oddity of course, but not of the era other than component parts.
MrEarl
Thanks guys, just what I needed to know. Interesting odd piece. I'll certainly keep my bidding to a minimum accordingly. Thanks again!

Marty Roth
Elvis could wear it and remind you when to come back inside? Seriously, it looks like a cool item to keep on the shelf. Put it next to a photo of me to keep the rodents away.
Jolly_John
Seems like a natural for you to like and hopefully procure, Lamar. You know the old saying...."oddities of a feather flock together". Your Buick pal, John

I was out early in the bidding of this and I am surprised it has reached the current $82 bid, I have seen fair condition actual Buick motormeters sell for a few dollars more. Me thinks I'll await one of them. Buickly, Lamar

It's hard to get one up on you. And, thumbs up on your decision not to chase this cobbled up, but still interesting BUICK item.
