Crusty Trucker
That's a rather well proportioned car for a hearse. With a little imagination and a lighter color, it might make a neat and unique Suburban-type SUV.
EmTee
I was thinking the same thing! I had a crush on a '40 LaSalle coupe on the Glidden Tour this year. Since then I've been keeping an eye out for them...
JamesR
I also agree that this is a nicely styled car, as hearses go. I like it because it doesn't look so much like one. I don't know about Home Depot runs, though, Leif! 😄
Hudsy Wudsy
I call your attention to the paint oxidation on the hood and front fenders. Do any of you recall black '49 to '51 Fords being plagued by this same condition? I guess something about the paint formulation.
JACK M
I see that one of the rear loading door windows is down a bit. Doubt that it would have a mechanism to roll it down but would be handy for circulation if it did. I can see the opposite side has no handle for such. I agree that this could be a fun car. Running is a plus, but I would surmise that the RT66 trip was a while ago.
31nash880
I think one window in rear is missing and your seeing side window rolled down.
