1937hd45
Sunday swap meet finds. The Crown logo was with the VW piece in the same box, any idea what it is from? Bob Edited October 23, 2022 by 1937hd45 (see edit history)

Dave Henderson
It is a part of a 2 part European body builder's identification. I don't recall where I got it or what car it came from.

drwatson
1953 & 1954 Chrysler Imperial dash has the scroll under the Crown. (poss. '51 & 52 also) Crown only w/o scroll was used on hubcaps, hood and trunk lid.
The 55er
There were a lot of these Crown emblems used on the older Chryslers & Imperials maybe up to 1954, some might appear to be the same at first glance but there are lots of tiny detail differences when viewed under close inspection. I never realized there were so many different kinds. All the crowns on the hubcaps are different. Crown shapes, details, scrolls, even the number of dots in the lower band (7 vs. 9) are different. If the OP would give an exact size of his emblem and a pic of the backside showing how it was mounted (maybe a tiny part number?) it might help ID it. I don't think it's for a 54 Imperial instrument cluster since the OP's has 9 dots on the band and the 54 cluster has 7. Also the OP's has a white dot in the very center of the jeweled crown. Pics show a few different examples of crowns including a 51 or a 52 instrument cluster and that particular emblem is only an inch wide. Edited October 24, 2022 by The 55er Added pics.
