Super rare 1954 Packard Pacific 2 door hard top. Only 1189 Pacific's were built for the 1954 model year. 54 was the only year the Pacific was offered. What makes it even more unique is the engine. It has its original Thunderbolt straight eight. This engine displaced 359 ci, 212 hp and 330-foot pounds of torque. This power plant was only offered in the senior Packards and 1954 was the only year it was made. This car is a true survivor. It was pulled from dry storage where it sat for nearly 35 years. It has taken almost 3 years to get it back on the road. Thousands spent on new and rebuilt parts. I've gone through the entire fuel, coolant and brake systems. The car has one repaint that I'm aware of. Interior is in great original condition except for the carpet has been replaced. I have the original paperwork for the car and I'm the 3rd owner. The car was originally sold in Spokane and spent its whole life in Eastern Washington.

The 1954 Packard Pacific hardtop is as close to a Caribbean hardtop as Packard built until the 1956 Caribbean hardtops.  The Paint Scheme XG - Lower - Chariot Red with Upper- Black combined with Interior Color Code 327 Red Genuine Leather with black nylon cloth or Code 496 Red Genuine Leather with gray nylon cloth was a popular combination.

I can't deny this is a beautiful car, rare, you won't find another one.  But why spend 3 years bringing it back to life then sell it?  

 

As for the 1189 production, it had tough competition in 1954. While not as powerful, the Buick Century comes to mind at 200hp, and I am sure lighter.
