1936 Series 40 Connecting Rod Castle Nut

Just to wrap this thread up, we got the right nut and got the bottom end all buttoned up ready to install the oil pan.

The attached pic shows the correct castle nut and the one that was on our car when we took it apart.

Thanks again to Bob Engle and everybody who helped.

Thanks for the update, I see it had a cinch nut, probably ok when first used. I used a variety (aircraft) of that type on my Model A Ford. One advantage over a castellated nut is you can bring up to torque and done, No messing with going to the next slot or loosening some. And of course you don't need to play with, or find, a cotter in the pan.
