Video review of the 300SL Gullwing

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Doug DeMuro, who reviews mostly new and used car models on Youtube.  His videos are really popular (he has over 4 million followers), and go into a lot of depth about the pros and cons of different cars.  Anyway, Doug recently did a review of the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing that I found really interesting.  He talks a lot about the features of the car in a detailed way that I hadn't heard elsewhere.  I thought some forum members might find the video interesting, too:

His videos are more informative than most:

He details what it is like to drive and operate

them, including all the small overlooked items

that a driver would really have in front of him.

So many other reviewers fawn over a "super" car,

and show it accelerating and going through slaloms;

Doug points out that a car may be difficult to get into,

that the electronic interface is cumbersome, where

the interior storage is, and so on.  I think he's the

best reviewer from a practical sense.

Thank you for sharing this.

A quick perusal of Doug's video revealed ten factual misstatements in the narration. Perhaps he should stick to modern cars.

He normally reviews only modern cars.

So we can learn, can you enumerate some of the

errors in his Mercedes video?

I like Doug's videos. I agree with John that he's methodical in his presentation and tries to be consistent from car to car in the way he reviews . Of course, I don't agree with Doug on every car: he thought the BMW Isetta is basically laughable, and I don't agree with that at all, but I saw this 300 SL video a couple of weeks ago, and as a non-Mercedes guy who has always admired this extremely rare car, I learned some interesting things from Doug's presentation.
