And who influenced you to become a car guy? That is to say ? I have been interested in cars since I was little. I was still in elementary school (5 years old) having fun repairing small toy cars. And when I was 4 or 5 years old, I went to see car shows with my parents, and I also went to see car races at the Nogaro and Albi circuit. Then when I was 12 I got my camera and started taking pictures of cars. In France we have a driving license at 18 years old, and for my 18th birthday I bought my 1969 Buick Electra 225 ! I am now 27 years old, and I have 3 American cars , and I still do a lot of pictures of cars in exhibitions

Eliishere
Thank you again for all these photos. What is shocking to me as an American is how limited our car selection is compared to what I see when I travel to Europe, so many “cars” all of all types in Europe and a few…just a handful of SUV’s compared to us in the states, seems only a handful of manufacture’s here make cars, all trucks and SUV’s. Really kinda of disappointing to me, why Europe has such a GIANT selection of vehicles and car makers and we are down to a handful….I don’t understand why?
mike6024
I rode as a passenger in the back of my mom's 1969 Buick Electra 225 4 door. Mom had a '53 Buick, then traded it for the '69 Electra, then traded that for a '76 2 door Buick Electra. Mom's last car was a 1985 Buick Regal.

Really kinda of disappointing to me, why Europe has such a GIANT selection of vehicles and car makers and we are down to a handful….I don’t understand why? Yes it is true that in Europe we have a lot of car models, here where I live in the south of France there are a lot of French cars, it is not uncommon to see 4 Peugeot 308 in a parking lot parked next to it with 2 Renault Twingo for example. Then there are German cars, Spanish cars (Seat), Italian cars, ..., and American cars (I don't know if they are Real American cars, or if they are for Europe) but on the road you can cross Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler 300C, Doge Ram (rarely), Ford Courrier, Ford Mondeo, Ford C-Max, and my father just bought a Ford Transit 2018 for work. On the other hand here in France there is no Buick regal 2010 (I wanted to buy a 2012 Buick Regal GS but there is none in France ), there is no Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram 3500, Dodge Dakota, Ford Crown Victoria, Chevy van, Mercury grand marquis, Lincoln 2010's, Ford F350, Dodge Neon, as well as other Buick models, ... It's a shame we can't find this in France, if you want one you have to import it I went on vacation twice to America and I was amazed to see all these American cars ! Normally I go on vacation to America this summer 2022 !

TAKerry
My aunt always drove big buicks. Around 1970/71 she had just bought a new Electra. Big 4 door sedan. She had brought it to our house to show it off. My cousin and myself were playing around in it. I was in the back seat and pushed down on the funny gadget under the little chrome door on the door panel. When it popped out glowing red I had no idea what it was about. Perfect size for my 6 year old finger to fit into. BOTH times I have ever touched the inside of a cigarette lighter!

oldcarfudd
What a wonderful show! Thank you so much for sharing. My favorite old car events are one-and two-cylinder tours with the Horseless Carriage Club and the Vintage Motor Car Club. I would love to show up on such a tour with that Sizaire et Naudin. It would show all the other guys what a single-cylinder car could do. I used to be an active private pilot in small planes and gliders. The little airplane in the exhibit was a French design called the Pou du Ciel. In the States we called it the Flying Flea, although I believe the correct translation from the French is Sky Louse. It was a controversial design with two staggered wings and no tail, and had odd flying characteristics. I've never seen one. I have already seen car races (it looks like Formula 3) with Citroen 2-cylinder engines, and it's true that it works well Thank you for the information I did not know that this plane was called like that. I have a neighbor in my village who owns a 1924 Ford T, and he is passionate about aviation. And in his youth he was made an autogyro ( autogire ) (it looks like a helicopter but his had no engine), and to have it flown it was necessary to tow it with a car and it was the strength of the seller that took off the autogyro. And when he tried it, he went on a long straight line (highway under construction) and he was towed by a Peugeot 205. And at one point when the gyroplane was in the sky, he started lifting the rear of the Peugeot 205 (the car was too light), and the driver braked his Peugeot to bring the gyroplane down. Then then my neighbor installed a VW Beetle engine and he flew with it
