ESSO glass block bank

There was one done for the 1939 Wolds Fair with its logo on the reverse side.  I have that one.  If you find one with the paper label attached it tells you how to open it.  You put a metal wedge in the coin slot and strike it with a hammer.  The bank should split along the seam.  I’m glad everyone who had one back in the day did not always follow those instructions.

Yes!  The ones without the 1939 Worlds Fair logo are more plentiful yet they seem to be disappearing from the marketplace in recent years.  Hershey might have higher prices but I bought my Worlds Fair logo one for $35 at a local antique store.  It is in excellent condition. With the great condition I would have paid $50 and felt I got a good deal.  I also have a Standard Oil glass bank, will have to post a picture of it sometime.
