It has the factory 455ci engine with 74,000 miles. The car was my dad's and he passed away 25 years ago so it's currently sitting at my grandpa's house in YORK, SC. It's been sitting since April 1995. The body is pretty straight nothing major. Gonna need a windshield and some trim and a very good cleaning. I don't have a title or the key to the car. I would like to sell the car as a whole for $2000 firm. it's about 50 yards behind my papas house in YORK, SC. There is a path to get to it but is soft ground to get to. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks

Essentially, this is one of my favorite cars of all time, a 1973 Riviera GS in that particular color, probably with a Parchment bucket seat console interior, yes that would do it. I personally prefer the reigned in 73 boattail, some prefer the "keel" version. I have owned 3 or 4 Boattails, and enjoyed them. This son will soon learn that $2000 is too much, or maybe I am wrong. I know parts hoarders love the posi track but man it's going to take a lot to extract that car, and the rear end is also in the soil. Still, if within 150 miles of me, and if I had a place to restore it I would buy it for $500. Whether it is a 1941 Buick or a 1973 Riviera, I think you are looking at $75,000 to properly restore it. But it would be fun.
drhach
So, is that car parked at the Dad's grave site?
Dan O
Oh Lord, it looks like this thing rose up out of it's own grave and is ready to run the red dirt roads of SC again.

Bussa
I like it ! Seems that the right wrecker, a long cable, and some snatch blocks could remove that. But it does look like it is at Papa's grave site.
drhach
I guess that's better than being buried in the car.
