ufo_mt
hi can some one tell me the outside height on a wind shield 36 dodge coupe i let my wind shield get away ,have one for a 36 plymouth sedan seems to be too tall,or what am i doing wrong to get it to fit? thanks
nearchoclatetown
As I recall the coupe is smaller, but I am not positive of that. You could just contact someone in the club roster with a coupe to measure their windshield. But that still doesn't say whether a Plymouth will fit a Dodge. hwellens
Not sure abut the Plymouth/Dodge interchange, but, the 36 Dodge coupe windshield frame is different from the other models. See the parts book below and read Note 1. Edited February 13, 2021 by hwellens add data (see edit history)
Pete in PA
FWIW the windshield in my D2 sedan was cracked when I bought it and the good spare that came with the car came from a P1 touring sedan. At least all the other loose Plymouth parts that came with the car came from that P1. The project had been stalled for so long that the seller couldn’t remember. JACK M
I can measure that. where do you want me to measure? Just the glass, or over all? At the center? It may be a day or two before I can get over there. Edited February 13, 2021 by JACK M (see edit history)
ufo_mt
that would be great jack if you would measure over all thanks
KURTRUK
Within the same body styles, the windshields are the same for 36 Dodge and Plymouth. Sedans take one w/s, coupes take a different one, and convertibles take another different one. The convertible is a shorter height w/s. The coupes and sedans are about the same size as each other, but a different shape. The NAGS pattern number you need is 925 if you have an auto glass shop with old patterns, or order it from someone online. JACK M
Here's what I got. (in inches) To the edge of the glass that one can see, and to the outer edge of the frame. The two vertical measurements are at the center. The horizontal measurements are a straight line, not over the curve. Couldn't say if sedan would work, but from others comments it would seem that it wont.
