58L-Y8
"Very rare 1937 Cord Beverly, professionally restored. Due to the unavailability of the original v8 engine, at the time of restoration in 2005 to 2009, a 350 olds front wheel drive engine and transmission were installed." Restored...restoration? Notify Webster's that now includes replacing the original powertrain with whatever used 1980's Olds Toronado components are available. Well, engine etc. goes with the bordello red polyester mouse fur interior...
auburnseeker
You could buy mine and do the same. 30 plus grand cheaper but you still need to buy a $1000 olds or Caddy Eldorado parts car. Of course you would also have a Phaeton over a Sedan.
edinmass
Randy.....you car was done back in the day.........not in the recent past. Shame they ruined the sedan because they were too cheap to do the engine.........is is neither hard or expensive.

auburnseeker
So far, though I have had some Virtual traffic lately giving it the sidewall treatment. Along with a guy that looked at it this summer that keeps coming back to me. Surprised at the sudden interest. Might just be the dead of winter blues and people are digging deeper into the net to see what's for sale.
BucketofBolts
Am I mistaken or did 1937 Cord resto-rods jump (rather leap) in price? I presume the seller looked at recent sales of 100 point cars with matching engines and just assumed that the same price range would float over to a resto-rod.
