Jeff Perkins / Mn
Why, I don’t know but I would like to recommission this car. Too bad I am in the middle of another project. I will not stockpile another “project” as I don’t want to bury myself. So many interesting cars posted here!!
auburnseeker
I think because with not much more than a clean up, you would realize just how nice it is. People think barn find untouched cars are worth more, but I can't help but think , especially when dealing with a 4 door , for most unexciting car, They will often overlook the extra doors for such a clean example and you can only see how nice it really is once cleaned up. This would probably sparkle in and out with a good cleaning. No cracks in the steering wheel, Just some very faint scuzz on the inside chrome that I bet will clean off without leaving a pimple. Plus it's a Mopar so you have to love that Dash.
58L-Y8
This was the swan song of the Chrysler Windsor, long their most popular, best-selling model. The new interloper, the lower-priced '61 Newport stole the show, reducing Windsor sales by approximately 60%. The 300 Sport replaced the Windsor for 1962. This '61 Windsor does appear to be a hidden preserved original gem just awaiting the right person to reactivate and enjoy it. Hope it finds a new appreciative conservator. Frankly, after surveying the uniform, limited selection of cars that appears at every show and cruise night here, a '61 Chrysler Windsor in all its high-flying finned glory would be a breath of fresh air!
The 55er
I'm not a big Mopar guy but this car is just awesome, it reminds me of the promo models I had as a kid. Looks like a great car to put back on the road and enjoy but it may not have been running for awhile by the looks of that "get away 60" battery. Big thumbs up.
Ed Luddy
I love the details on the roof skin and trunk lid of these. Plus the fins and dash. If it were in Windsor Ontario Canada I'd be chasing it!

I was just going to say the same thing -- that '61-'62 Chrysler "Flash Gordon" bubble dash is one of the all time greats. As the former owner of a '62 Newport, I would say this car looks like a great bargain!
