Bob H
I bought this set of hubcaps that were supposed to fit 1939 Special which they do not. Can someone identify what they fit so I can list them for sale? The opening measures a bit over 9-5/8", close to 9-3/4". Thanks, Bob H
jvelde
Looking at Bob's Automobilia, it appears the '39 Limiteds and Specials had different size hub caps. Doesn't give dimensions, so can't tell anything else.
kgreen
The ones you have look like they fit the 1940 models (except limited's which had a deeper dish).
Rod Frazier
According to Bob's catalog, the caps for 41-50 have an i.d. of 9 3/4", so I'm pretty sure that's what you have. The ones for the 39-40's are 7 11/16 i.d. 1
Pete Phillips
1939 and 1940 hub caps have a much wider lip on the back side. These in your photo have the narrow lip (which fits more years). Pete Phillips
BuickBob49
I have several caps for my 1939 Roadmaster and for my 1949 Super sitting in the garage. I'll snap a photo showing both types.
Bob H
Thanks for the suggestions. I discovered that I had two more of these hubcaps on a parts car. They were on 15" wheels. I have listed them for sale with these two meager bits of information - the listing from Bob's catalog and their fitting to 15" wheels. Thanks again, Bob H

The picture in this post with the shorter Buick logo is 1937 only. They will fit 1937-1940.
Thomas J. Bianculli
Apparently Limiteds have a longer front spindle thus requiring deeper caps. I have never seen these offered or advertised.
